Reporting Arrangements and Main Contacts
1. Reports to Robson Liddle Principal Infrastructure Engineer in Exeter. 2. Day-to-day management by Principal Infrastructure Engineer.
3. Mentoring of staff in the Civil & Infrastructure Engineering team in Exeter.
4. Based in Exeter, but expected to spend time at other offices in line with business need.
Main Tasks and Accountabilities
1. Mentoring of Civil & Infrastructure Engineering staff in Exeter.
2. Implementation of best practice in Civil & Infrastructure Engineering in Exeter. 3. Delivery of commercial targets for in Civil & Infrastructure Engineering projects in
Exeter.
4. Liaising with Principal Infrastructure Engineer to plan workload and resources as required.
5. Leading major projects.
6. To ensure the implementation and compliance of all Group policies, procedures and guidelines.
7. To lead on the delivery of quality assured, client focused products and services to meet the agreed requirements of the customer.
8. To contribute to the operation and development of the Business Management System to ensure the continuous improvement of quality assured
9. To carry out other duties appropriate to the level and character of the post.
Key Result Areas
The postholder will be expected to:
1. Build relationships with Management and Design teams in Exeter. 2. Deliver required Technical and Commercial performance of the Civil &
Infrastructure Engineering projects in Exeter.
3. Work with the Principal Infrastructure Engineer to implement Group-wide standards in Civil & Infrastructure Engineering.

Experience (Duration, type and level of experience) E=Essential D=Desirable Criteria E Leading projects in the Private and Public sectors.
E Mentoring of professional staff.
E Developing relationships with clients in the Public and Private sectors. E Commercial responsibility for projects.
E Delivering significant site development Infrastructure projects. D Experience of dealing with clients at establishment head level.
E Experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environment.
Qualifications (Number, type and level of qualification or equivalent experience if appropriate) E Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
E Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) or equivalent.
Skills, knowledge and aptitudes
E Ability to lead commissions for the full range of Civil & Infrastructure disciplines, e.g. commercial and housing developments.
E Ability to form relationships with clients, staff and senior colleagues. E Site development Infrastructure design.
E Highways design and production of section 38 and 278 agreements. E Ability to use competently the main Civil & Infrastructure codes of practice
and Building Regulations.
E Undertake drainage assessments and designs and production of section 104 agreements.
E Must be able to demonstrate relevant up to date CPD records. E Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality.
E Able to meet tight deadlines.
E A responsive, constructive and flexible attitude towards working arrangements within a team environment.
E Good organisational skills.
E Proficient in using common IT applications (Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Project) and Civil & Infrastructure Engineering software.
E Must be familiar with the risks and hazards associated with asbestos. E Must have relevant construction and health and safety
