The Church of God in Christ Department of Women will celebrate its 64
thAnnual Women’s
International Convention/Crusade, Monday, May 26 thru Friday, May 30, 2014 in Louisville,
Kentucky. Services will be held daily at 9:30 am and 7:00 pm at the KFC YUM! Center - West
Concourse Hall A ~ 1 Arena Plaza ~ Louisville, Kentucky.
This convention is led by our President and the Sixth General Supervisor of the Department
of Women, Mother Willie Mae Rivers, who resides in Goose Creek, South Carolina. She is the
mother of twelve children; two sons and ten daughters. She is a member of Calvary Church of
God in Christ, where she has served as church mother for over 67 years. She is the President
of the Community Christian Women/Men Fellowship. Mother Rivers is a lover of people, a
woman of wisdom, who walks with integrity, and leads with diligence.
The Women’s International Convention began 64 years ago in Los Angeles, California with
100 women in attendance. It has experienced tremendous growth. This convention is held
an-nually in various cities across North America and now has more than 10,000 people in
attend-ance. Delegates from all over the world will journey across land and sea to attend these
spirit-filled, power-packed, and life changing sessions. The convention is designed to promote
wom-en’s ministry through evangelism by retaining values and principles of holiness. Our
Conven-tion/Crusade will also recapture the determination of our predecessors whose focus was to:
Teach women to love their husbands, nurture and train their children.
Develop godly character.
Give qualifications and practical applications for leaders.
Encourage women to be mentors in their homes, on their job, and in the community.
Prepare future leaders.
Many workshops and services will provide women with a clear vision of their God-given
pur-pose, destiny, and remain focused on their journey to greatness.
It is the endeavor of our President to spiritually impact this great city and to make a
contribu-tion to one or more charitable organizacontribu-tions, as we have done in previous years.
Come and enjoy the Lord with us in the beauty of holiness, with our hearts full of praise, and
the women of God adorned in their beautiful hats!
