Lancashire Textiles Rebrand

I was offered the role of rebranding Lancashire Textiles, a British manufactured company that has a significant local heritage within Lancashire, the client wanted to retain this within the rebranding. The same elements from the original logo

were kept, and realigned to create an industrial Mill sign, as the original logo was complex and lacked a focal point.

Qualtex Green Initiative

At Qualtex we are finding every way we possibly can to reduce non-recyclable waste. The first step is to reduce our use of print and plastics and other non-recyclable materials in our packaging. This can be achieved from paper tape to non-plastic coated artwork and by encouragng the purchase of loose items where possible.

Marketing Convention Banners

Qualtex's bigger marketing campaigns are often showcased at conventions and are aimed at attracting new customers. Below are 4 banners, which were used as backdrops for the sales team at Qualtex’s 2019 summer and winter conventions. The banners are designed to show a brief representation of what Qualtex sells as efficiently as possible, to capture a potential customers attention.

When I started at Qualtex the company was in need of a branding update, This included creating new email campaigns where we analysed the click rates and used that research to improve revenue, we also used trend surfing campaigns based on current popular topics e.g. Great British bake off / festivals / Black Friday Events and annual holidays.

Qualtex First Annual Catalogue

In 2019 Qualtex announced the release of a catalogue to display a wide selection of their products, divided into 12 key sections and spanning over 400 pages. As Qualtex had never produced a catalogue on this scale before, together myself and the junior designer created catalogue guidelines which we maticulous stuck to when producing such a large project, including everything from fonts to colour schemes.

I also worked closely with the photography team to design a modern and impactful front cover that stands out from competitors in the spares industry, giving it premium asthetic.

JEGS Packaging Rebrand

JEGS Electrical is one of the UK’s leading electrical parts suppliers and has been under the umbrella of Qualtex since September 2017. Since taking JEGS on board one of the priorities was to rebrand the packaging. I was tasked to liaise with the Director to come up with a contemporary, minimal style for the packaging using the original JEGS colour pallet. Here I have featured a Multipurpose Portable Spray Washer and a desk fan to show how the branding works accross various products.

Qualtex/Qpro Packaging Rebranding

I The Qualtex Logo has only had minor changes since the company was established in 1961, we had various logos, with a verity of designs, under the company umbrella from Qpro packaging to the Qtech internal newsletter, which was also in need of an update. I was solely tasked to recreate our various company logos in one uniform style, this was a very enjoyable task as I was given a loose brief , and a number of months to bring this together, once achieved I established the logo on our first rebranded packaging. The Challenge was to advertise the Carlube brand for ‘The Touring Cars and Prototype championships race in 2014’. To the right is a vinyl sticker which was printed and placed on the bonnet of the ginetta. My initial idea was to make the car stand out from the rest in the race by Incorporating an illusion. I did this by implying the bonnet exterior was seeminlgy peeled back showing the magnificent interior of the Ginetta engine. This was achieved and we received a lot of praise for the uniqueness of the design, although it did not help us win the race.

Package The Perfect Picnic

YCN Brief decision was to use the 2012 London Olympics as the stimulus, more specifically the award ceremonies, the rewards being either a Bronze, Silver or Gold Medal. Below is a trio of packaging labels that demonstrate the three different sized picnics on offer. Gold being the largest of the picnic baskets serving eight.

Below are concepts of how the Picnic Boxes would be displayed ontop of a Podium in Marks & Spencers stores. This would be an advertisent in the store front or window display.

Burnout Theatre Production

Burnout is a small theatre production which started out within local venues around Bury. Since then it has gone on to win multiple awards for its take on the taboo topic of suicide and has advanced to multiple venues across Manchester and London.

The main backdrop for the production was a gym, which is why the client chose to feature a dumbbell as the focal point of the poster design. The play revolves around ‘Raf’ who was seemingly the greatest guy in the world. He’s now, however, a missing person. The play unfolds to show the impact he has made on those around him and the spiral of chaos he left in his wake. Client Selina Haliwell (2019) www.broadwayworld.com The-Award-Winning-BURNOUT
