Assistant Research Director, The FLOK Project 2013-2014 Assistant Research Director with the FLOK (Free/Libre Open Knowledge) Project supporting the government of Ecuador. Jointly funded by the Coordinating Ministry of Knowledge and Human Talent, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, and the National Institute of Advanced Studies, my work on this project oversaw policy and planning supporting open knowledge systems in Ecuador.


Design Consultant, Provost’s Initiative 2012 


Interface designer for mobile application: “Prototyping the Virtual Experiments Mobile App for Developing Freshman Students’ Pre-Lab Chemistry Laboratory Skills” supporting the Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Consultant to the Kineo Group based in Chicago, IL. Kineo specializes in strategic consulting in human resource development for fortune 100 companies. My work with Kineo included strategic analysis, instructional design, and courseware development.


E-learning Director, Unity University College 2004-05


E-Learning Director with Unity University College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia managing the design and development of the country’s first private sector e-learning program (serving over 10,000 students). My responsibilities on this project included

Technology Strategy, Policy Consultation, Curriculum Design, Program Evaluation, Personnel Management, and Resource Procurement.
