 The organisation has no partnerships or arrangements with other providers.

 The organisation’s core clients consist of international students over the age of 18 years.

 Fee revenue sources consist of fee for service for international students.

 It was identified at audit that although students had met English language entry requirements, the data entered into PRISMS did not accurately reflect the practice that had been undertaken.

This audit was conducted under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (the Act) to assess compliance with requirements of the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007 as identified under the Scope of Audit section above.

Audit Findings

The organisation demonstrated compliance with the ESOS Act Section 21, 21A, National Code Part C Section 7 and National Code Standards 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. The organisation did not demonstrate compliance with the National Code Standard 2. The non-compliance may have a negative impact on:

 Australia’s international reputation as a provider of high quality training and assessment

 the protection of the interests of overseas students

 compliance with student visa conditions. Non compliances:

National Code Standard 2

The organisation did not include accurate information on its website and timetables regarding the course duration, modes of study and assessment methods. The organisation’s website and timetables refer to 1 delivery day and 1 assistance day. The 0.5 day required to work online or in the classroom on home projects is not advised to students prior to enrolment. The students are not advised that the assistance day is an assessment day.

Prior to the audit report being issued to the organisation, the organisation provided evidence which addressed the non-compliance above. Prior to the audit report being submitted to the organisation, the organisation provided updated website pages for each qualification which clearly advises students of the course structure class of delivery days and 0.5 assessment days.
