PREPARE

CONCEPT A noun names a person, place, thing, or idea. Nouns can be singular (only one) or plural (more than one). There are also regular plural nouns and irregular plural nouns. Regular plural nouns add -s or -es, while irregular plural nouns do not add -s or -es. Some irregular nouns change their spelling. The ability to think about, talk about, and work with nouns helps readers understand texts effectively and spell accurately.
