I hereby agree to the following terms:

1. The artist is responsible for the installation, hanging, display, and removal of work as well as repairing any damage caused to the walls under the direction of a MP5 representative.

a. Milepost 5 is not responsible for any damages to artwork incurred by installation. Artwork will be fully installed one day before the beginning time of the exhibition opening event and fully de-installed at the agreed-upon date. b. Artists must repair the walls to their original condition once the work is

de-installed. This includes: spackling, spot painting, and/or fully re-painting the gallery if necessary. Milepost 5 will only supply spackle and paint for touch-ups. Artist will supply primer and top coat paint if gallery needs to be fully repainted. 2. Artist must receive approval for all methods and placement of all artwork.

a. Artist must receive appropriate permission by a MP5 representative to affect the MP5 facility in any way beyond nailing or screwing holes in the walls. This includes draping or hanging any material from overhead pipes. Foam tape and other adhesives cannot be used to hang work unless approved by MP5 representative.

b. MP5 representative has the right to move and/or re-hang the artists work at anytime during the duration of the show if deemed necessary for any reason. MP5 representative has the final word on all hanging methods and placement of all artwork in galleries.

3. Artist understands that MP5 is a residential building and will install work appropriate to high-traffic areas and with respect to the MP5 residents.

a. Artwork must not be more than 12 inches from the walls. b.Nothing may be suspended from sprinkler system.

c. Artwork displayed must be congruent to a residential building and the nature of a lobby and hallways.

4. Artist is responsible for providing information for proper labeling of all artwork with: name of work, artist, medium, year, price (‘NFS’ if work is unavailable for sale).

a. Labels will be mounted by the artist next to the appropriate piece. b. Labels will be provided by Milepost 5.

5. An artist statement can be posted somewhere in the artist’s designated exhibition space, or where instructed by a MP5 representative.

6. Both MP5 and the Artist agree to leave exhibition up for the full duration of the agreed upon exhibition dates.

7. Artist agrees to attend the exhibition opening, unless absence is agreed upon by a MP5 representative, or outstanding circumstances prohibit artist from attending.

8. Artist agrees to have a digital image and any other relevant information (artist exhibition title, website address, digital resume or cv, personal biography) to MP5 no later than 14 days before the opening of the exhibition.

9. Milepost 5 will provide the following publicity:

a. Press release sent out to all local, relevant press no later than 14 days before exhibition.

b. An html email announcement sent out to MP5 email list no later than 5 days before exhibition (list of approx. 2400 emails) and will include any artist’s emailing lists as provided to MP5.

c. Milepost 5 will post to its website the artist’s exhibition information, including examples of work, links to any relevant websites, and posting of artist’s cv and biography as determined by the artist. Information will be posted to the Milepost 5 website upon signing of this contract and receiving the appropriate information from the artist.

10.Milepost 5 does not provide any insurance for artwork. By signing this agreement, the artist understands that Milepost 5 is not liable for any damage, loss or theft of artwork. 11.Any and all sales will be handled directly between artist and buyer. Milepost 5 does not

keep a commission.

12.Milepost 5 is not responsible for the transportation of any artwork to or from premises.
