HP-UX 11.23 is HP-UX 11i version 2.0. HP-UX 11.31 is HP-UX 11i version 3.0. 2 NIS+ is supported in a DNS environment.

Includes support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation and Enterprise Server if applicable. 4 Push installation not possible, need to be installed locally.

Supports StoreOnce software version 4.1 and earlier (CloudBank support from 3.18). For information on the StoreOnce Backup systems and features supported by this StoreOnce software version, see the BURA Compatibility Matrix available at

www.hpe.com/storage/BURACompatibility.

StoreOnce system Catalyst version 3.16.x and later releases support replication over Fibre Channel (FC). 7 Backup to the Data Protector StoreOnce Software store is not supported.

Support for StoreOnce Catalyst version 4.1 and earlier over Fibre Channel (FC) with AIX platform requires to have dedicated ports for every StoreOnce node. For more information, see StoreOnce documentation.

Supported for DDOS versions 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 6.0 and 6.1.

DD OS 6.0 and 6.1 is supported only for CIFS, NAS and VTL. LTO-5 is not supported with DD OS 6.1.

Data Domain Boost devices configured on AIX using the Fibre Channel (FC) protocol supports only one Data Protector connection per SAN path or Data Domain end point. Due to this, AIX gateways using the Fibre Channel interface automatically get their ‘Max. Number of Parallel connections per Gateway’ parameter set to 1. Operations such as consolidation and replication need multiple connections per operation and will not succeed with this configuration. If additional SAN paths are added, then the AIX server’s gateway settings should be modified to allow these operations to succeed.

The Fibre Channel (FC) protocol is not supported for DDOS versions 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, and 5.7. FC protocol is supported on Solaris 11 (SPARC) for DDOS version 6.0 and newer.

Supports all NAS and SAN devices using CFS and NFS shares, and SAN devices using the local FS mount. 14 Device on Microsoft Azure StoreSimple is supported via Smart Cache device.

A Smart Cache device is not supported on a virtual node in a clustered environment.

Object copy to the Cloud device (Microsoft Azure blob storage, HPE Helion object stores and S3 object storage) is supported. Direct backup to Cloud device is supported on Microsoft Azure blob storage and S3 object storage only. 17 Supported targets must comply with Amazon Signature Version 4 requirements.

Reporting server can’t be installed on Data Protector Cell Manager / Installation server / Client. It needs to be installed on a separate server
