The questionnaire program is installed on a Windows PC. The interviews are carried out offline using a laptop, pen computer, PDA or Smartphone. After the survey, the data is collected onto a single PC. If this computer has access to the internet, the data can be automatically uploaded to the CISnet server and then becomes available centrally. If each interviewing computer is connected to the internet after one or more interviews, it can also automatically upload the data to the CISnet server. With CAPIO (CAPI Online) and the monitoring tools of CISnet, data from different fieldwork institutes can thus always be made available centrally, even with distributed offline projects. For use in test studios, CAPIO is especially relevant for surveys with a high multimedia content.

For the conduct of telephone surveys, CIScati offers a completely web-based solution. All functions, from sample administration through quota management and the handling of appointments, to the monitoring of interviewers, are available online. CATI surveys are administered online via CISnet.
The interviewer requires nothing more than internet access and a browser. With CISnetSTUDIO, which can also be installed on each interviewing computer, interviewer convenience and data security are further enhanced. A study can be distributed across an unlimited number of telephone studios. Quotas and sample can be allocated separately for each studio, or applied across multiple studios.

CIScode is a Windows program from IfaD for the coding of open-end responses in CIS surveys. CIScode makes possible the efficient organisation of coding activities with an unlimited number of coders, whether within your own company, or at distributed locations, or using external freelance coders. Coordination can be carried out within the local network or via the internet. Even when the coding work is distributed, you always have an overview of the status of your coding.

Through this platform, IfaD offers the professional hosting of online surveys and web-based CATI surveys. The platform can also be used for the organisation of offline projects.
iqsn is directly connected to the internet and makes possible the simultaneous processing of thousands of interviews on multiple parallel servers. The hardware is designed with multiple redundancy, thus guaranteeing breakdown-free operation.

Questionnaire programming
Computer-aided surveys open up many new possibilities in comparison to paper-&-pencil. These include e.g. multimedia elements such as images, film and sound, pricing models, conjoint analysis, and complicated filter management. But these manifold possibilities also require an intensive involvement with the survey tools themselves and their technical operation. Save yourself this trouble and gain more time to focus on the content. And when you program the questionnaire yourself, our support service is always at your disposal.
Hardware
For the conduct of CAPI projects we can make available pen computers using CIS. The questionnaire is pre-installed and you can commence your survey without delay. Insurance and transport of the pen computers is organised by us. Simply return the computers to us after completion of the survey.

For surveys hosted by IfaD, you can download the data from the server at any time via CISnet. We can also support you in questionnaire design and data processing.
