Dear Civitans,Well it is already August and we at Biloxi-Edgewater Civitan had a really BIG and BUSY July. What a great month. First we extend a Big Thanks to the Biloxi Elks Club, who sponsored our Charity Bingo Sunday, July 26th on our behalf. The Bingo donation is not yet in; however the good news is that almost the entire club participated in some way from preparing food to manning food sales to selling raffle tickets to monetary donations. Our food and raffle sales cleared $544.00!
This month marked 4 days of our
participation in International Civitan's Convention at St. Louis, MO. In attendance was Liz Evans, Leon & Pat Bedsole, Jewel Stewart (who was inaugurated as the incoming Magnolia Governor) and yours truly. We reported out at the last meeting. For those who did not attend, I am inserting a Highlight of the all important life saving research being accomplished at the Civitan UAB Research Center. This is What It is All About!

sent out tomorrow, to the HCCDC for the
assistance technology department. Civitan
member, Maureen Newcomb is a speech
pathologist at the center. We appreciate the
work Maureen does with the special needs
children and hope the gift will help to
purchase a new piece of equipment. Money
for this gift and others to benefit the
developmentally disabled, come from our
Civitan Candy and Coin Box Project.

Area Three Welcomes Bay St. Louis To the Magnolia District
The new Bay St. Louis Civitan Club, sponsored by North Bay Civitan Club, held a chartering ceremony on July 10, 2015 in Bay St. Louis at the Mockingbird Café. This is the 22nd new club for Civitan International this current year.
Congratulations to Alexis Kirkland for being installed as the first president of the new club.
The club builder is Donna Wilson. The
certified club builders are Keith Wilson, MST and Jewel Stewart, Gov. Elect.
