Introduction

Who am I? My name is Andreas I am a Hip-Hop music artist/producer under the alias Andre B. I'm trying to get my game on. And I want you to do the same. And thats probably the biggest reason why I putting this e-book together.

Because everybody knows that the drumbeat could be what either make or break a Hip-Hop production.

This book is broke up in five chapters/producers (Dr. Dre, Jermain Dupri, Just Blaze, The Neptunes and Timbaland). I really wanted to have some more producer's in this e-book. I really wanted to have a Dj Premier chapter but it was to hard to get it right so unfortunately I couldn't give you that. But if you look in the beginning of every chapter theres a section called “Similar

producer's/beatmaker's”. And if you ask me for example Just Blaze and Dj Premier has a similar

production style. And then I added Dj Premier to similar producer's/beatmaker's in the Just Blaze chapter.

And every producer got a “Featuring artist's” section where I added some notable artist that the producer has work with.

And some pattern are based upon some real drum patterns from songs produced by the producer. But not all are. And thats why the patterns ain't named after the songs they are based on. But the most of them you probably could figure out. The screen shots of the drum pattern is from FL Studio but you could basically use any modern music daw, drum machine and/or sampler.

My idea with this e-book ain't that you should steal the original drum pattern. It's more to give you new ideas to create your own drum pattern inspired by them in this e-book.

Save Money on Your Software

If you ask me I would say that Fl Studio (formerly Fruity Lopps) is the best and easiest music software for both newbies and pros. And I have worked with Reason, Cubase and Pro Tools. But when I want to put down a beat fast it's always FL Studio I start up. If you want to try it just download the demo.

Download The FL Studio Demo by Click Here

You could do every drum pattern in this e-book by using the demo version. But you can't save them because of the limitation of the demo.

But if you would like to get serious with your music I suggest that you buy FL Studio (or any other software you like). But if you choose FL Studio I can offer you an 10% discount. Just use my affiliate link here.

Save Money On Buying FL Studio by Click Here

Some examples:

If you buy the "Producer edition" it will cost you 180$ instead of 199$.

And you save: 19$

And if you buy the "XXL Edition" it will cost you 270$ instead of 299$.

And you save: 29$

*Notice: It's the download version of FL Studio that you are buying. So you won't get no CD or

box.

But you will get free lifetime updates. So every time whenever theres a new version of FL Studio you could download it from Image Line's homepage.

Some Basic Tips

Let's start with some basic tips that will make your beat sound better. One of the most important and most overlooked things to do is adjust your “velocity” on your pattern. Velocity is how “hard” or “soft”the drum hit. By changing it you give your track a more live natural feeling.

And if you use more than one snare then you could “offset” some of them to give it a nice sound. This technique is used often by producer's like Dr Dre.

And thats why theres more than one snare/ clap channel on many patterns in this book...

I chose to limit the pattern picture to: Kick, Snare, Hihat, Open Hihat, Shaker and Cymbal. But of course some snares could be claps or the hihat could be a shaker and and vice versa. It's all up to you.
