Sparisce il vincolo del numero di core per CPU

• Chi ha la licenza Advanced passa alla Enterprise (attenzione alle

manutenzioni!)

• Su tutte le versioni si hanno VM con 8 vCPU

• E’ palese che le VM costano

• Il dimensionamento delle VM diventa un’attività fondamentale

• Ci vuole un tecnico per fare un’offerta ;-) , design, design,

design!

• La vRam non è per host ma per pool di host gestiti dalla stesso

vCenter (ma solo per versioni omogenee), vCenter in Linked

Contro

Vincoli delle versioni Essential sono bloccanti e non superabili

•Occorre fare bene i conti per chi ha server con molta RAM o con forte

rateo di consolidamento

• Per fare una quotazione non bastano più le sole info sui server fisici

• Gli AK sono cambiati (tutti hanno il vCenter Standard, ma la versione

con Enterprise plus passa da 8 a 6 CPU

• Se uno è “bravo” a sfruttare la RAM fisica non ha nessun vantaggio,

anzi…

• Le novità importanti sono state portate solo sulla Enterprise Plus

• Nessuna feature è stata “declassata”

• Gli appliance virtuali di gestione (vCenter, Data Recovery, vShield, vSA,

ecc) pesano sul licensing!
