“A good, helpful, well-detailed course” The job interview remains one of the most commonly used selection

methods. If conducted in accordance with best practice principles, it can provide an excellent opportunity to explore an individual's suitability for the role. However, a poorly conducted interview can lead to ill-informed or indefensible selection decisions, increased susceptibility to candidate claims of unfair practice, negative public relations, and long-term difficul-ties of managing an unsuitable individual in post. Interviewer training has been shown to significantly improve the effectiveness of the interview and its ability to predict job performance.

This course is for HR professionals and line managers wishing to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct effective competency based interviews.

Using a variety of teaching methods, including case studies, worksheets, practical sessions and group activities, the programme will cover:

multiple-choice task is scored and evidence produced

• Integrate data from the two tasks and produce final exercise ratings

Cubiks E-tray is an imaginative and innovative update of the

in-tray exercise, one of the most popular and enduring assessments for predicting an individual's future performance. Using a common work-based scenario, E-tray requires candidates to read through a full 'in-box' of e-mail messages and then carry out a range of tasks that are central to contemporary business life: grouping, prioritising, action planning and communicating. E-tray is assessed through both

automated scoring (of responses to in-tray items) and assessor marking (of free-text responses to a written task).

This course is for those wishing to acquire the skills and knowledge to administer and assess E-tray. Depending on your experience of assessing Assessment Centre exercises, we offer two levels of training:

1. Expert - suitable for those who have experience of

assessing other Assessment Centre exercises.

2. Full - suitable for those with no experience of assessing.
