September 26, 2021 / Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners,

As you come to mass this weekend, you will noƟce all the wonderful young people around the property.

Our Įeld by the outdoor chapel is like tent city! Our teams are having their AnƟoch Retreat mainly outside and we are also using the parish center for food, etc. Our weekend is going so well under the loving support of our adult leaders and the watchful eyes of Alyssia and MaƩ, our co-directors and their young adult team. We Įnish the retreat this Sunday around 3 pm with mass. I am grateful to everybody who has helped in this AnƟoch experience and excited to point many of our young people in the way of Christ.

This weekend, I am excited to welcome back our CCD young people and their parents. We will have a short explanaƟon of our program at 9 am and 11 am followed by Holy Mass.

I invite all new parishioners to join us for a light lunch next Sunday aŌer the 11:30 am mass. I am thrilled in that we have so many new parishioners and look forward to having them join our wonderful parish of St. Luke.

Bishop Kevin will preside, and I am honored to assist him for an Order of Malta Rosary Rally to take place on October 10 at 3:00 pm in Pequannock. We invite all parishioners to come join us in praying the Rosary and for a short BenedicƟon experience. More info in the bulleƟn.

This is the Ɵme of the year when I typically schedule dates to welcome family or friends of parishioners who are either non-Catholic or Catholics who need the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and ConĮrmaƟon.

This process as you are aware is called RCIA. I invite you to email me with the name and informaƟon of those who are not bapƟzed, those who are Protestant and would like to become Catholic and Catholics who would like to make First Holy Communion or ConĮrmaƟon. I will give a starƟng date in the next week or so and look forward to bringing on board a variety of people who seek to be united with us in the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

Last Saturday, I was privileged to preside at the wedding of Alexis Dorlan and Angelo O’Grady. I celebrated their wedding at OLM here in Long Valley. Kevin tearfully walked his beauƟful daughter down the aisle.

AŌer the ceremony, he and Nina hosted an amazing party at their home. Alexa and Angelo are a wonderful couple, and I am so blessed that they have begun this new wonderful stage of their lives.

CongratulaƟons to them and to all members of the O’Grady and Dorlan families!

10/24/21 First 10th Grade ConĮrmaƟon Class The Church honors and celebrates Mary, our Blessed Mother, as a wom- an of great faith all year long. Each celebraƟon tells us something special about Mary and helps us to remember that she put God Įrst in her life and always lived with love. Today and al- ways, let Mary be a reminder to us to follow God’s plan for our lives.

On September 8th we celebrated Mary’s birth. Her parents, Anne and Joachim hoped for many years that God would bless them with a family. LiƩle did they know that their daughter would be such an important part of God’s plan for the salvaƟon of all people! LiƩle did they know that their grandson, Jesus would be the Savior of the world! Today and always, let St.

Anne and St. Joachim's faithful perseverance in prayer be reminders to us to conƟnue to be faithful and trusƟng in God’s plan for us.

For More Details Check the Website
