Please include additional notes and comments below:

2.Any distress call must be investigated to determine cause and any construction or human activity that may be responsible for the distress call, must be halted or modified immediately.

“chatter call” à 3-4 intro notes w/ short gasps of silence (<1s) followed by rapid sequence of descending notes, usually 6-9 notes (kwit kwit kwit kwit kee-kee-kee-kee-kee)

"peal” high-pitched, prolonged, gull-like cry, repeated 3-5 times

Nest tree empty upon arrival. One adult bald eagle and the juvenile were spotted on separate fence posts north of nest tree. The second adult was observed soaring over the nest area roughly 20 minutes into the survey. The three eagles spent the entire survey time perched on the fence posts or on the ground in the field north of the nest tree. The second adult left the perch area almost an hour into the survey, and returned about an hour later with prey. The juvenile appeared to be feeding shortly after the second adult landed. Construction noises consisted of nail guns and heavy equipment. There were no disturbance behaviors observed throughout the survey.
