To speak of "the Cloud" is very un-specific, since there are manifold application possibilities. For this reason our main concern is to individually assess a project plan and to realize it together with you. To give some idea of this we provide the following examples:
StorSimple – archiving and storage system
Imagine this: you have storage requirements in the Terabyte range and can use a most flexible IT architecture. Hard disks are used for the regularly used data, (work loads are e.g. file shares, Sharepoint stor-age, etc.). Data not recently used is automatically compressed, encrypt-ed using a high security standard, and saved in the Cloud.
These tasks are managed by the storage system StorSimple, which combines on-premise solutions with cloud storage and integrated services. Outsourcing in the Cloud saves you hardware, power, backup time and administrative costs.
Web pages – highly scalable, whenever you need it
The web site should be highly scal-able. This is because many visitors mean, even in the digital world, hard work behind the web GUI. Enormous computing reserves are needed for this. The Cloud catches the daily fluctuation according to your specifications. Thus temporary peaks in load, such as occur during

The founders of hotel.de had the idea for CheckMyBus: an intercity bus search engine, in which the visi-tors can query departure and arrival times, travel duration, availability, prices, etc. of all relevant bus lines to find the best possible bus connec-tion. Decisive for the success was the rapid market penetration.
The developer team from CheckMyBus and Noxum realized the web portal within the shortest time in the Windows Azure Cloud.

The IT architecture provides a rapid web connection and current data of the intercity bus lines on the web portal. Thereby there are interfaces to the systems of the intercity bus lines which CheckMyBus created
with their own developers. All routes are additionally checked and released by the CheckMyBus online editors in Noxum Publishing Studio. As soon as a route is released the in-formation is immediately and auto-matically updated.
The capacity of the web servers can be scaled according to load. This is important since the web offer must also remain available to visitors during simultaneously high access rates. This is to be expected since the founders of CheckMyBus plan to rapidly expand the European content and achieve in the midterm an internationally leading market position.
The web technology from Noxum is already in deployment since years for test.de. New requirements with the goal of arming the web site for ever-increasing numbers of visitors were set by the Berlin-based Stif-tung Warentest. Thereby the future server capacity should be arbi-trarily extensible without incurring extra expenditures for operations and purchase of hardware. The Stiftung Warentest decided for the outsourcing of test.de into the Cloud and used the Cloud services of Noxum. The Stiftung Warentest determined that the start project would initially outsource the web site and the associated database. After a test phase for parts of
test.de, Noxum placed the entire web site and the participating services in the Cloud – failsafe and always highly available.
The Stiftung Warentest is now in the position to save costs to a great extent: The operational costs for the server are reduced and a large part of the administration costs are elim-inated. In the future no more invest-ment costs are needed for hardware and licenses, only the actually used server capacities are charged. The Stiftung Warentest has today achieved a flexibility in projects using Cloud solutions, through which they can more rapidly implement new business models for their customers.

If your IT or purchasing department has concluded an Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft, often Planning Services Vouchers are in-cluded. Your company can then, for example, receive consultation to
Microsoft products from Noxum in a cost- neutral way within the frame-work of a certain annual support contingent.
Proof of Concept – share costs with Microsoft and Noxum
To evaluate your project intentions with regard to the technical
feasibility, Noxum can apply to Microsoft for financial support. If the appli cation for the proof of concept is approved by Microsoft, the investment for a corresponding workshop, prototyping, etc., can be divided by three among the parties.
