2006 – 2009: Postdoctoral Associate at ICCOM-CNR as FIRENZE HYDROLAB fellow.
November 2004-December 2005: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain, http://klingon.uab.es/). Post-doctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Agustí Lledós, Physical Chemistry Dept. The research was carried out as part of the EU Marie Curie Project AQUACHEM (http://www.iccom.cnr.it/aquachem/), dealing with computational DFT studies of hydrogenation of α,β-unsatured aldehydes mediated by water-soluble ruthenium(II) complexes. 1997-1998: Torino University, part-time assistant in teaching laboratories of Physical Chemistry undergraduate courses, organised by Prof. Piero Ugliengo.
1999: Alessandria University (Italy), scholarship for the creation of a Raman spectra metallorganic database for the Web (pages created with Netscape Composer).
1999: cooperation with Torino University for thesis work completion (synthesis of: cobalt clusters with COT ligand, bimetallic derivatives of indene with chromium and rhodium, tropylium chloride).
Language knowledge:
Italian – native.
English – excellent, both written and spoken. Attendance of Cambridge Proficiency Level (September 2002-June 2003) and Pitman Intermediate Level courses (September 2001-March

2002). Approved at the final examination. Pitman Intermediate Certificate obtained on March 24th 2002.
French – good. Studied for three years during the High School.
Spanish – excellent, both written and spoken. Attendance of an intensive 90-hour course in the “Servei d’Idiomes Moderns”- Campus Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, February 2005. Approved at the final examination. Level 3 out of 5, with full marks.
Computer knowledge:
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office pack (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and of the Internet typical software (Explorer, Outlook Express, Netscape Navigator). Creation of web pages with the help of FrontPage and Netscape Composer. Basic notions of HTML language. Experience with chemical software for graphics and calculation (ChemDraw, Gaussian and GaussView, ADF, Molden, Moldraw, Ortep) and with the Unix/Linux platform. Practice with the WINGX package for structure resolution and refinement from single-crystal X-Ray diffraction data.
