This addendum is issued to clarify, correct, or supplement the documents as originally issued and will become part of the contract. Receipt hereof shall be acknowledged by Bidders in the space provided in the Proposal Form.

General Items:

1. Please be advised that Lower Bucks Hospital uses the following electrical system vendors:

• Fire Alarm System – SDT

• Nurse Call System – Curbell

• Security System - ASG

Architectural Items:

Delete the reference to drawing P-11 on the drawing list. The drawing does not exist. Mechanical

Drawing M-3:

Clarification – The hot water supply and return piping shown on this drawing feeds second floor equipment. Demolition note 1 call for the piping through the floor to be removed and capped in the ceiling. New work note 1 calls for new piping connections to existing branch mains. New work note 2 calls for new piping up through the floor to serve new PTAC units or new baseboard radiation.

Clarification – Wall mounted space temperature sensors shall be provided for heat pump units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16. Duct mounted return air temperature sensors shall be provided for heat pump units 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Drawing M-4:

Clarification – Wall mounted space temperature sensors shall be provided for heat pump units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16. Duct mounted return air temperature sensors shall be provided for heat pump units 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Drawing M-6:

Clarification – The hot water supply and return piping shown on this drawing is fed from the first floor ceiling. New work note 1 calls for new piping connections to existing branch mains. Plumbing

Drawing P-3:

Clarification - We are removing all the mechanical systems on the floor outside of the ducts near the elevator and the piping in the first floor ceiling. The allowance ($20,000.00 total for both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Wings) for plumbing is to create clearance between the piping and the new ducts since the majority of plumbing piping in the second floor ceiling feeds the third floor and must remain, but may have to be re-routed.

Drawing P-4:

Clarification - We are removing all the mechanical systems on the floor outside of the ducts near the elevator and the piping in the first floor ceiling. Clarification - The feeders to new panelboards ‘ELS-2B’, ‘ECR-2B’, ‘EQPP-2A’, ‘LP-2A’, and’ LP-2B’ are to be provided as part of a separate project titled “Essential Power for ‘A’ and ‘B’ Wings”, which is being bid concurrently with the Gero-Psych project.

Clarification - All tele/data wirng shall be provided by Lower Bucks Hospital. Drawing E-9:

Clarification - The short circuit withstand rating of new panelboards’ ELS-2B’, ‘ECR-2B’ and ‘EQPP-2A’ shall be rated at 10 KAIC. All breaker types shall be ‘BAB’ by Cutler Hammer. The short circuit withstand rating of new panelboards’ LP-2A’, ‘LP-2B’ and ‘PP-2B’ shall be rated at 22 KAIC.

RFI #1

1. When viewing the plan. It seems the patient room vanities are wall hung porcelain but the I-1 Drawings indicates that they are Meganite. Please Clarify?

Response: The patient toilet rooms are getting an AMERICAN STANDARD

MEZZO #9960.908 SEMI COUNTERTOP LAV. Installed on a solid surface counter. See attached sketch ASK.1

2. Drawing A8.2 shows a wood chair rail. Please provide location.

Response: The wood chair ail has been removed from the project and the Chair rail

detail on drawing A8.2 no longer applies to this project. RFI #2

1. Can the AISC certification for section 051200 be waived?

Response: yes the AISC certification for section 051200 can be waived.

RFI #3

1. Please clarify the locks being used on this job. Is the Stanley Best SPSL series or the Best 9K?

Response: Use Stanley Best SPSL series on all doors requiring anti ligature hardware

as indicated on the door schedule on sheet A8.1, all other doors to receive Best 9K. RFI #4

1. Drawing m-3 does not make it clear if you are piping to a thru wall unit or to

radiation as it shows for 2nd floor (see M-6) or are we installing equipment only on 2nd floor?

Response: See MPE portion of Addendum # 1

2. Asbestos removal to be handled by owner?

Response: contractor to price demolition based on what is shown on the drawings.

Owner will inspect and advice at completion of removals.

3. There is a plaster ceiling above the acoustic on the 2nd floor. Removal by gc- all of

ceiling? Patch of spray fire proofing?

Response: Existing building is concrete construction. Plaster ceiling can be removed

without affecting fireproofing.

4. What is wall opening size required at new thru wall units – will they fit into existing opening or will additional cutting & patching be required?

Response: New thru wall units will require an larger masonry opening. Contractor to

coordinate opening with mechanical drawings. Additional cutting & patching will be required.

RFI #2

1. The floor finish specifications for this project differ from drawing A8.2 to I-1, Please confirm which of these drawings has the correct flooring specifications?

Response: Contractor to refer to drawing I-1 for floor finish specifications.

HSC Builders & Construction Managers RFI #1

1. The Patient Room sinks are shown as porcelain but called out in the finishes as Meganite. Please Confirm?

4. Please provide copy of sign-in sheet from the Pre-Bid Meeting.

Response: Pre-Bid Meeting Sign-in sheet will be included in this addendum.

5. Please confirm how off-hours work is to be handled for work outside the project envelope. It was indicated at the Pre-Bid Meeting that ALL base bid work is to be during normal working hours with GC Bidders carrying a $20,000 Allowance for off-hours premium. Please verify.

Response: OT work to have an allowance of $20,000 as directed at the pre-bid

walkthrough.

6. Please confirm how asbestos removal will be handled. It was indicated at the Pre-Bid Meeting that the Owner would be carrying an Allowance for removal. It was also indicated that the GC Bidders are to include demolition as shown on the drawings assuming no abatement is required.

Response: contractor to price demolition based on what is shown on the drawings.

Owner will inspect and advice at completion of removals.

7. Please confirm work required with existing plaster ceiling. Does the rating need to be maintained? Can deck be spray fireproofed after the plaster ceiling is removed.

Response: Existing building is concrete construction. Plaster ceiling can be removed

without affecting fireproofing.

8. Please confirm height from existing acoustical ceiling to the plaster ceiling.

Response: Existing plaster ceiling is 8’-3” AFF on the first floor and 8’-5” AFF on

the second floor. Existing suspended ceiling system varies. Contractor to filed verify height of existing suspended ceiling system.

9. There is a specification 03 54 00 for Concrete Leveling. Please confirm where this is required.

Response: Contractor to patch or repair all portions of existing conc. Floor slab

disturbed by removals or new work

10.There is a specification 05 12 00 for structural Steel. Please confirm with this is required.

Response: Coordinate with new rooftop unit. See mechanical drawings for additional

information.

11.There is a specification 05 40 00 for cold formed Metal Framing. Please confirm where this is required.

Response: Coordinate with new rooftop unit. See mechanical drawings for additional

information

12.Toilet 220 is an ADA Toilet Room. It appears Door 220 Entry does not meet clearances. Please confirm if this is acceptable

Response: door 220 into shower / toilet 220 dos meet all ADA clearances. 18” to the

pull side of the door, a minimum of 48” clear in front of the door and since the door dos not have a closer; 12” is not required to the push side of the door.

13.Is tela-data wiring by the Owner or GC. If by the GC, Please provide a specification

Response: Contractor to provide conduit and backer box.

14.Drawing A5.3 lists equipment to be furnished by the GC. Please Provided

specifications for all items listed including Ice Machine, Cubicle Tracks, Nightstands, Overbed Tables, PPE Supplies/Box, Disinfectant Gel, Glove Box and Needle Box.

Response: The Ice Machine, Cubicle Tracks, Nightstands, Overbed Tables, PPE

Supplies/Box, Disinfectant Gel, Glove Box and Needle Box are not to be furnished by the GC.

15.Confirm scope of cubical curtain tracks. There are none shown on the drawings.

Response: There are no cubical curtain tracks in this project.

16.Please confirm wall thickness of rooms with back to back headwalls. Will a thicker wall be required?

Response: The partitions called for on the enlarged new work plans are thick enough

17.There are numerous door openings with ratings but the walls do not appear to be rated. (i.e. Elect 206) Please advise.

Response: The partition type 31 indicates a 1 hr. partition. The doors into Electrical

rooms 206, 226 and 236 are 45 min. doors.

18.Drawing A8.2 indicates signage by Owner. Specification 10 90 00 reads signage by GC. Please confirm.

Response: Signage provided by owner installed by contractor.

19.Is window treatments required for this project? If so, Please provide locations and specifications.

Response: Coordinate Window treatments with Interior Drawings. All window

treatments to be Anti ligature.

20.There are two finish schedule specifications listed on the drawings – Drawing A8.2 and I-2. Please clarify which materials we should be including in the bed.

Response: Contractor to refer to drawing I-1 for finish specifications.

21.There are multiple types of reducers indicated on A8.2. Some reducers for same combinations are shown. Please.

Response: Contractor to coordinate location and type of reducers with Interior

Drawings.

22.Waterproof primer and sealant is stated on drawing A8.2 at the carpet CPT areas. Is this required for all carpet areas even though we are on the 2nd floor?

Response: Waterproofing, primer and sealant is not required on the second floor.

23.Please provide the Hospitals current vendors for the following systems: a. Fire Alarm

b. Nurse Call

c. Security (Aiphone)

Response: See MPE portion of Addendum # 1

24.Drawing E-6 indicates the locations of the two (2) new panels ELS-2B in Elect. Room 226. Drawing E-9 Provides Panel schedules for these new panels, however, the
