Dear Colleague,

I would like to introduce you to Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) and its Huntsville, AL and Redstone Arsenal, AL sites, if you’re not yet familiar with Florida Tech. Our university offers a variety of Master’s degrees for those professionals who desire to enhance their professional capabilities, but cannot afford to interrupt their careers to pursue such education. For those individuals, Florida Tech has the solution.

By offering its degree programs after-hours (i.e., 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm weekdays), Florida Tech allows the working professionals to pursue and to complete successfully the degree programs of their choice (see enclosed one-page flyer attachment for degree programs available).

Courses meet once per week for a 16-week semester (11 weeks in Summer; 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm). Our staff (24+ adjunct faculty; 5 administrative personnel) are readily available to assist you. Almost all of the programs may also be taken via on-line Distance

Learning, as desired (exception: M.B.A.). Registration for Spring 2014 semester begins 04 Nov 2013 through 10 Jan 2014 with new classes beginning the week of 06 Jan 2014.

Cost per course (3 semester hours) is $1680 and financial aid is available (e.g., VA benefits [Yellow

Ribbon, Chapter 33, etc.] for qualified applicants. The degree programs are regionally accredited through SACS and are licensed by the State of Alabama (via the State of Alabama Department of Post-Secondary Education) to be taught in this state.

Since 1976 Florida Tech has been serving the Huntsville locale (including Redstone Arsenal) and has awarded here over 4,000 degrees, to date. Florida Tech Huntsville is one of 10 sites maintained throughout the Southeast by the main campus at Melbourne, FL. Membership into the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society should be the goal of every student. Eligibility for

membership begins at a GPA of 3.75. However, one must also be in the upper 20% of one's graduating class. To

GRADUATION PETITION DEADLINE

Students need to submit a petition to graduate at the beginning of the semester prior to their final semester. Spring graduates will petition at the beginning of the Fall Semester, Summer graduates at the beginning of Spring, and Fall graduates at the beginning of Summer. The Petition to Graduate form is located in the “Quick Links: drop down box under Forms” at www.fit.edu. This form must be turned in to the office no later than the dates listed below, or the student is subject to a late petition fee.
