• Increase number of adult learners receiving postsecondary credentials with real value in the workplace
• Align stackable recognized skills certifications with educational
degree pathways in ITCC and regional institutions and with career pathways in advanced manufacturing
• Modularize college curriculum along the pathway to shorten the
time to post-secondary credentials;
• ITCC - integrating certifications into programs of study
• For low-income and working adults - accessible/affordable post-secondary education with; portable credentials with workplace value; preparation for success in entry-level manufacturing jobs
• For ITCC – programs of study with direct alignment with skills
requirements of employers
• For 4-year institutions – pipeline of students with basic industry skills
and prepared to specialize
• For employers – pipeline of prepared workers
• For regional economies – educational system that produces the
talent necessary to support growing manufacturing sectors, leading to stronger communities
