Ziele: Der Kurs Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE) vermittelt den Teilnehmern

das Wissen um die Implementierung von komplexen LAN und WAN Lösungen mit ver-schiedensten Routingprotokollen zu planen, zu konfigurieren und zu verifizieren. Der Kurs behandelt zudem die Konfiguration von sicheren Routinglösungen um Zweigstellen und mobile Nutzer anzubinden. Der Kurs bereitet die Teilnehmer auf die CCNP Zertifizie-rung vor.

Inhalte:

Module 1: Planning Routing Services to Requirements Plan and document the configura-tion and verificaconfigura-tion of routing protocols and its optimizaconfigura-tion in enterprise networks.

Lesson 1: Assessing Complex Enterprise Network Requirements This lesson describes the converged network requirements of various network and networked applications within the Cisco network architectures. This will result in the ability to identify information that must be collected when filling out an implementation plan. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

• Defining Cisco network models

• Understanding traffic conditions in a converged network • Understanding Cisco SONA framework

• Understanding routing and routing protocols

Lesson 2: Common Maintenance Processes and Procedures This lesson describes the requirements of the enterprise network, implementation plan and documentation of im-plementation process, and its results. This ability includes being able to meet these ob-jectives:

• Create an implementation plan • Define the implementation plan tasks

• Develop the implementation plan documentation • Create an implementation plan example

Lesson 3: Lab 1-1 Debrief This lesson explains gathering of network requirements and required data. You will be able to create implementation plan, verify, and document the whole process. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

Module 2: Implementing an EIGRP based Solution Identify the technologies, compo-nents, and metrics of EIGRP to implement and verify EIGRP routing in diverse, large-scale internetworks based on requirements. Lesson 1: Planning Routing Implementa-tions with EIGRP This lesson describes the components and metrics of EIGRP, how EIGRP selects routes between routers in diverse, large-scale internetworks, the imple-mentation plan creation process, and basic EIGRP configuration. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

Lesson 2: Implementing and Verifying Basic EIGRP for the Enterprise LAN Architecture This lesson describes how to verify and implement EIGRP routing. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

• Verifying EIGRP Routes for IPv4 • Verifying EIGRP Operation for IPv4

• Using the Passive-Interface Command with EIGRP • Advertising an IP Default-Network in EIGRP • Determining Summary Boundaries

• Utilizing Manual Route Summarization

Lesson 3: Lab 2-1 Debrief This lesson explains how to configure and verify EIGRP oper-ations. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

• Identify the implementation and verification tasks for basic EIGRP configuration and how to influence the EIGRP path selection

• Present the sample solution and identify possible alternative solutions

Lesson 4: Configuring and Verifying EIGRP for the Enterprise WAN Architecture This lesson describes, recognizes, and deploys EIGRP operation over various WAN technol-ogies and be able to scale the operation with load balancing and proper bandwidth utili-zation. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

• Configuring and verifying EIGRP over Frame Relay and on a Physical Interface • Configuring and verifying EIGRP over Multipoint Sub-Interfaces

• Configuring and verifying EIGRP over Point-to-Point Sub-Interfaces • Implementing Load Balancing Across Equal-Metric Paths

Lesson 8: Advanced EIGRP Features in an Enterprise Network This lesson describes how to implement advanced EIGRP features in an Enterprise Network by applying the planned implementation processes using correct Cisco IOS commands and applications as well as verify that the configuration was correctly implemented. Lesson 9: Lab 2-4 Debrief This lesson explains how to implement and troubleshoot EIGRP operations to solve EIGRP adjacency and limited connectivity. This ability in-cludes being able to meet these objectives:

• Identify the implementation, verification, and troubleshooting tasks for EIGRP opera-tions to solve adjacency and connectivity issues

Module 3: Implementing a Scalable Multiarea Network OSPF Based Solution Identify, analyze, and match OSPF multiarea routing functions and benefits for routing efficien-cies in network operations in order to implement and verify OSPF routing in a complex enterprise network.

Lesson 1: Planning Routing Implementations with OSPF as Scalable Routing Protocol This lesson explains link state protocols, components and metrics of OSPF, how OSPF operates, and the implementation plan creation process. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:

• Determining Link-State Routing Protocols • Determining OSPF Area Structure • Determining OSPF Adjacency Database • Calculating the OSPF Metric

• Determining Link-State Data Structures • Maintaining Link-State Sequence Numbers • Planning for OSPF Implementation

Lesson 2: How OSPF Packet Processes Work This lesson explains how information flows between routers to maintain OSPF links and which packets are used. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:
