the five PEPT subject areas;

7. For an ALS A & E Test qualifier, a certification of test result (with 100 or higher Standard Sco re and an

essay-writing proficiency level of 2 or higher) and a C ertification of C ompletion for Sec ondary Level;

and

8. For entrance scholars, Entrance Scholarship Committee Route and Approval Sheet (ESC RAS) duly

signed by the members of the concerned committee and one (1) photocopy of the crede ntials

submitted for scholarship grant.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR FRESHMAN ADMISSION School Year 2012 - 2013

A dmiss ion is on a FIRST -C O ME -FIRS T-S ERV ED basis acc ording to the sc heduled dates for the process ing of credentials, availability of slots , and college admiss ion requirements or c riteria.

I. WHO ARE QUALIFIED FOR ADMISSION? T o be admitted, you must be:

1. a PU P C ET pass er based on the cut-off sc ore set for the current sc hool year and a high sc hool graduate with a GWA of 82 % or higher from any DepEd-rec ognized or -ac credited sec ondary school; or

2. a PU P C ET pass er with an average rating of 82 % or higher in the five subject areas of the Philippine Educational P lacement Tes t (P EP T): Mathematics , C ommunication A rts (English), Sc ience, Communication Arts (Filipino), and A raling Panlipunan; or

3. a PU PC ET passer who pass ed the A lternative Learning System Ac creditation & Equivalency (ALS A & E) Test for Sec ondary Level with 10 0 o r higher Standard Score (SS) and an essa y-writing proficienc y level of 2 or higher; or 4. a qualified entrance sc holar.

II. W HAT A RE THE A DMISSION REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED? A . Required Credentials:

Step 1. SUBMISSION OF A LL THE CREDENTIALS FOR A DMISSION

Submit all the CRE DE NT IA LS FO R AD MI SSIO N to the A dmission Officer, A dmiss ion and Registration O ffice (ARO ), Ground Floor, West Wing, Sta. Mesa , Manila, on the s pecified date for the proces sing of your c redentials, interview, and enrollment as reflected in the SAR F orm 1.

O nly applicants with complete c redentials will be acc ommodated to go through the admissio n proces s.

Freshman applica nts are advised to c ome for interview in their appropriate attire and proper grooming (with collar and sleev es; no rubber slippers , “tokong”, shorts; no earrings for males).

Non appearance on the sc heduled date for your interview would mean automatic forfeiture of your slot.

A pplicants whose 4 th year high sc hool English final grade is 8 0% or below and PE P T and ALS A & E T est qualifiers are required to take the Englis h Plac ement T est (EP T) at the C ollege of Languages and Linguistics (CL L) Multimedia C enter at S-4 10 . A fee of P 15 0.00 for the Certificate of EP T Res ult will be collec ted upon payment of tuition and misc ellaneous fees (Step 4).

Step 2. COLLEGE INTERVIEW A ND REGISTRATION

P roceed to the C ollege that offers the degree program of your first choic e for interview by the dean or the chairperson. In c ase you do not qualify or slots are no longer available, you can go to the C ollege of your second or third choice until you get the approval for acc eptance in your desired ac ademic program.
