Sunday

Recognize what is currently good about your life

Even though you want to change certain things in your life so they are more aligned with your desires, it is important to point out the things that are going well right now. Take some time to list the things you have accomplished, big or small, because they all matter. Having this list of good stuff is a great foundation to prepare for your desire journey.

Monday

Put your ego in rehab

Oh, that pesky three letter word – ego. Our egos can be the biggest obstacle to living a life connected to our desires because our egos keep us small and fearful. The ego is the anti-cheerleader that cheers for you to stay put and stuck. Put your ego in rehab by stepping into your vulnerability, using any failures as daily lessons, and accepting that you are deserving.

Bold Steps for Getting What You Desire

In order to put the a bold step each day keeps what you desire in play in motion – work on these seven items (one per day) for four weeks. If you try this process, you will be amazed at the results. But remember, you have to stay committed and practice patience.

Tuesday

Collect your desire data

To get clear on what you desire, do some investigating. Ask yourself, “What is my heart’s greatest desire?” Spend some time thinking about what feels good to you, what you want more of, and how you envision your day-to-day unfolding. If you desire more time with your spouse, write down all the things you want to spend time doing. Capture the mood and feelings that would go along with this time. With specific details, write down how your life would improve, be enriched, prove more fulfilling, and nurture your bold mindset.

Wednesday

Analyze how you are spending your time

When you have an idea about your core desires, prioritize one of them and make room in your schedule to develop it. Many times I hear clients say, “I wish I had more time to focus on myself. Each month goes by so quickly, I don’t know where the time goes. I wish time would stand still so I could really dive deep in my personal development.” We all get busy doing things and living our lives, and the question we have to tackle here is, “Am I spending my time doing things that nurture my desires?” Overscheduling, suffering from FOMO (fear of missing out), productive procrastination, and making excuses that you’ll start when the perfect conditions present themselves are counterproductive to fueling your desires. As you analyze how you are spending your time, examine your calendar and your daily rhythm. Look for items that can be delegated, omitted, or shifted in order to maximize your daily time to work on your desires.

Thursday

Come out of hiding

How many people do you talk to about your desires? If the answer is below five, it’s time to come out of hiding. You don’t need to share your desires with any and everybody, but you do need to share them with your greatest supporters. When you talk about your desires with your bold team (aka greatest supporters), they want to help you get closer to getting what you want. They will serve as positive accountability partners who can help you focus and stay the course as you continue on your desire journey.

Take action

Based on your data collection and the newfound time on your schedule, take a one-to-three steps toward getting what you desire. Write down specific actions that you can complete during the week. If your desire is to be more confident and you feel your health is a current obstacle, take a confident step in setting up an appointment with a wellness professional. Taking one-to-three steps each week will provide positive motivation and momentum to have your desires become the drivers in your life.

Saturday

Reflect and make adjustments

This process can be fun, scary, thrilling, and tough. If it wasn’t, then everyone around us would be connected to their heart’s desires and living by them daily. Taking time to reflect and make

adjustments each week honors your bold commitment to yourself. Your process does not have to be perfect or fast, but work to make it purposeful, protected, and developed.
