1.1 HOW IT WORKS

From DB To DB APP is a transformation task that enables to import data from a database

1.2 INPUT DATA

This app allows You to export data contained in a database table by specifying a SQL query to a

new table that You will create in the same database or in a different database.

You can see how to specify the input data in the following figures:

Figure 1 – first step: click on the “Parameters” field.

In the “To DB” tab You can specify the name of the new database table (field “DB Table”) and if

You want truncate all data in the new table if it already exists (field “Truncate”).

These input data enable to import all data contained in mysql database table named

“forum_input” in a mysql database table named “forum_input_filtered”.

1.3 OUTPUT DATA

This app gives a set of value and columns based on the specified input query. For viewing these

data You need to add an APP like To Excel after From DB To DB APP. Otherwise you must use

some database client.

In the example above the output data are a set of items contained in the new table resulting

from the input query. You can see all records have “Eta” field > 18 and they are ordered in

descending mode by the field “Totale_Voti”.

1.4 BASIC WORKFLOW EXAMPLE

From DB To DB APP doesn’t needs any app after or before in the workflow, so you can create a

simple flow as shown in Figure 5, but You can’t watch the results by the watcher button:
