Rogers Carrier Services delivers MEF 9 and MEF 14 certified Ethernet services via our secure and private national network with speeds from 2 Mbps to 10 Gbps.

SCALABILITY— Rogers Carrier Services deploys an intelligent access switch with multiple network ports and a 1000 Mbps fibre optic uplink to our network. This allows your customers to increase bandwidth and add new services on demand without the need for any new hardware.

ETHERNET SERVICES

Rogers Ethernet Services provide highly scalable, reliable and secure network connectivity using a combination of fibre and cable-based accesses. Our MEF certified Ethernet Services support simple point-to-point, partial and fully meshed network topologies.

ETHERNET OVER CABLE

Ethernet over Cable complements our last mile fibre reach by providing cost effective connectivity to hundreds of thousands of sites across the Rogers cable footprint. Rogers delivers native Layer 2 Ethernet over a cable modem and requires no other customer premise equipment. Ethernet over Cable can be used as an alternative to T1 and DSL accesses that no longer meet speed requirements, or as a diverse network option to improve availability.

Quality of Service

Rogers Ethernet Services are available in three Quality of Service tiers; Standard, Plus and Premium to better match the performance requirements of specific business applications.

Scalability

Our fibre-based Ethernet Services are delivered over a multi-service switch offering multiple customer-facing ports and a 1 Gbps uplink connection to our core network that’s ready to provide greater bandwidth and additional services.

Flexibility

Offers symmetrical speeds of 10 Mbps or 2 Mbps as well as asymmetrical speeds up to 50 Mbps download with 2 Mbps upload. Scaling to higher tiers can be performed remotely.

Redundancy

Ethernet over Cable is built on a completely diverse network from the telcos, offering truly redundant network connectivity.

WIRELESS ACCESS

Wireless Access service is a Layer 2 connectivity option that extends the reach of our fibre and cable networks across the Rogers national wireless network. Wireless endpoints can be managed through a convenient, easy-to-use web portal.

OPTICAL WAVE

Optical Wave is a point-to-point transport service delivered over the Rogers optical network using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology. It provides high capacity, ultra-low latency connectivity to instantly move large quantities of data between major metropolitan areas across Canada.

Gives customers ultimate control of their network protocols, applications and securely supports multiple client interfaces.

Scalable

Allows customers to integrate multiple services onto a single transport solution with the ability to scale to meet future business requirements.

INTERNET TRANSIT

Internet Transit is a scalable, high performance Internet connectivity solution offering symmetrical bandwidth over fibre-based accesses with speeds up to 10 Gbps and full support of IPv6. Rogers Internet Transit connects to millions of Rogers smartphone and cable Internet subscribers on our IP network. Rogers has one of the most interconnected Internet backbones in Canada with direct links to hundreds of carriers across North America.

Rogers owns and operates data centres across Canada delivering high availability and secure environments for mission critical systems managed by a team of professionals.

Canadian Footprint

We have one of the largest national footprints in Canada. 80% of all Canadian businesses are within 200 km of one of our data centres. Rogers is an ideal choice to serve Canadian clients with data sovereignty requirements.

Certification

Key certifications include PCI DSS V2.0, SOC 2, ISAE 3402 Type II, SSAE 16 Type II and CSAE 3416 Type II certifications. We built the first Uptime Institute-certified Tier III Data Centre in Canada.

Video Transport

Rogers provides reliable Video Transport solutions including ASI circuits, compressed video using H.264 and JPEG 2000, as well as uncompressed contribution video.

• Services are transported over a carrier-grade Ethernet transport with optional diversity and service layer hitless protection • Fully bundled connectivity — video transport streams have the

option to be delivered over the same interconnect used by other Rogers Ethernet and Internet services
