General Statement

Associate of Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate of Arts and Sciences are defined as Transferable Degrees by the Virginia Community College System. A

student with a Transferable Degree can transfer into the Bachelor of Professional Studies in Health Sciences Management (BPHM) provided they have met the

application requirements, have allied health training and national certification and have successfully completed 60 transferable credits according to this transfer

Community Colleges.

2 Typically, Transferable Associates Degrees will have 60 transferable credits. If not, a student will need to complete the missing credits by the time of acceptance to the Bachelor

of Professional Studies in Health Sciences Management program.

3 Technical coursework is completed within a professionally accredited program.

4 Transferable Electives should be oriented to the Humanities, Social Sciences, or Natural Sciences. 5 General Electives can be oriented to the Humanities or Social Sciences.
