Transfer Planning Guide

Los Angeles Harbor College to Marymount California University

Marymount offers four Bachelor of Art programs. Each has the same Liberal Education Core (GE).

Harbor students can follow those courses or can complete IGETC or CSU-GE in lieu of the

Marymount core. Note that some courses may be required as prerequisites if not transferred in with

certification. For example, ENG 102 is required for many upper division courses.

The degrees are:

BA – Business

Students choose at least one area of concentration/emphasis from: Entrepreneurship; Global and

Community Development; Management; Marketing; Operations & Systems Management;

Accounting.

BA – Liberal Arts

Students choose two areas of emphasis from: Accounting; American Studies; Arts and Media;

Behavioral Sciences (can only be combined with Biomedical Sciences); Biomedical Sciences;

Business; Criminal Justice; Global Studies; Music; Performing Arts; Psychology.

BA – Media Studies

Students choose one concentration from: Animation & Motion graphics; Digital Art & Design;

Digital Video & Film Production; Media Studies General; Arts & Media Interdisciplinary; Web

Design & Interactive Media.

BA – Psychology

Please refer to information on the Marymount website or Catalog for more information regarding

each program. www.MarymountCalifornia.edu

These transfer planning guides show comparable courses offered at Harbor College. Completion of

all courses is not a condition of admission. However, completion of as many as possible will make

your time toward degree completion more efficient.
