Business Intelligence from CDK gives you the daily data you need to make

the right decisions for your dealership. It’s all on your dashboard in easy

graphical format:

Business Intelligence pulls data straight from your Dealer Management

System, so you’re always in sync with the latest numbers. Then it presents

it visually, by department, so your sales team, service manager and other

leaders can see exactly how their teams are doing.

With your morning coffee or at the end of a busy week, you get a full

“intelligence briefing” that shows just where you’re having successes and

where more attention is needed.

At a glance: The business benefits

Business Intelligence demystifies your daily operations. The big picture is presented in user-friendly charts, graphs and dials. Red and green ‘traffic lights’ and up-or-down trend arrows alert you to areas of the most success and concern. You see progress as it happens, day by day.

Wonder which of your service technicians is working most efficiently? Business Intelligence will show you.

Your service manager can see just where the team is headed and make adjustments. And suddenly it is easier for your sales team to see your best customers over time and treat them accordingly.

Would you rather have your staff spend time collating spreadsheets or selling cars?

Business Intelligence takes care of gathering and organizing all your dealership information, so your teams can focus on their jobs. You save time up and down the chain of command.

Really seeing your data graphically -- not just as groups of numbers -- helps you spot the trends and facts you would otherwise miss. It can give you crucial insights as you make the strategic decisions that drive your business forward. In today’s competitive economy, that kind of edge can make all the difference.

Benefits in detail:

Your ‘role by role’ guide to product features

Business Intelligence helps your directors make faster, smarter and more profitable decisions by collecting in one place all DMS data from your different companies, locations and franchises.

Buisness Intelligence has all the vital data your managers need: financials, vehicles, after sales and CRM. Analyze how a KPI performs against any budget or benchmark. Slice it up by company, site, department, franchise, customer or vehicle. Dive down into operations to see which vehicles are selling best, by region, colour, trim and sales type. Combine that with a CRM view to view contacts per salesmen, quotes, demos and conversion ratios.

Business Intelligence includes consolidated balance sheet and P&L reports, acid tests and debtor days, so you will see your company’s health and performance clearly. The key metrics are all there under the same rules, so your managers can use the same benchmarks. Business Intelligence is integrated with CDK’s dealer management system, so you will benefit from new processes and analysis in future upgrades.

In short, Business Intelligence helps you see your data clearly, decide which actions to take, and then monitor the results. That is a recipe for better performance and higher profits.

Dealer Principals

Better business – for everyone

Give up the spreadsheets, the scattered data, and the time spent putting it all together into manual reports.

Business Intelligence takes your general ledger data and maps it against a reporting structure, so you get consolidated, group-level balance sheets and profit-and- loss reports.

Track your KPIs day by day, with no need to close accounts monthly (or wait a month for critical data). Acid tests, current ratio, gearing ratios, and debtor days are compiled for you. Drill down into costs and expense codes to check your daily performance.

Budgets can be imported from the DMS, or you can create your own based on recent performance - both for financial area and for operational KPIs.

Business Intelligence gives you a clear snapshot of your pipeline, sales and stock data. The most important measures and KPIs for each area are front and center.

Analyze your stock age and value by site, vehicle type, franchise, or model. Take high-level KPIs like sold units, average selling price or margin, and slice them per site by attributes like franchise, model, type, colour, trims, body style – right down to each individual car sold. If silver hatchbacks are selling 32% better at one franchise, you will know.

How are your salespeople doing? Track and compare their results to sales targets, to last year’s performance or to their peers. You will see the average gross profit each is generating for you and who is selling outside your expected GP percentage. Your sales tunnel can be displayed by the number of enquiries, orders and demos for the whole group.

Monitor your parts by stock age interval, product group and category. With Business Intelligence you can drill down to individual parts by number.

It is always critical to manage stock surcharge volumes and know upsell numbers for each part.

Business Intelligence helps you keep control of stock levels by showing you which fast-rotating parts are selling and what is happening to your obsolete stock.

You will also see the lead-time ratios of local suppliers for specific parts, so you can make performance-based decisions for each part as needed.

Ready for a global service department view? Business Intelligence presents all parts and labour sales data, of course, plus all the key performance ratios:

productivity, efficiency and utilisation. It is all broken down for you by site, team, technician, skill and labour type.

You will know how many of the cars you sold last year have come back to the workshop this year. These loyalty numbers will be a big help as you work to increase efficiency and build the number of labour hours sold per job card. Work- in-progress reports help you manage your cash flow and get claimed warranty numbers to manufacturers.

All numbers are available for any period you select, like year-to-date or year-on- year, with full operating controls for daily performance.
