1 Finding your AMP UP! event

In order to register as an individual, join a team or form a team, you first need to find your event web page. There are almost 40 AMP UP! events throughout the country in May. In order to register for an event, you need to start at your event’s web page – and there are two ways to do this. First, you can go directly to the event page, using that event’s URL. In this case, we are are going to the Triangle website, http://support.bcan.org/AMPUPTriangle.

If you don’t know the URL, you can go to the main event page, www.ampupbcan.org, and search for your event. Here, for example, I entered North Carolina in the search box, clicked “SEARCH”. . .

. . .then clicked on the event I wanted to join – in this example, the Triangle event:

2. Form a Team

One of the most effective way to participate in AMP UP! is to form a team and invite your friends and family to participate with you. Also, in the process of forming a team, you’ll register yourself as an individual.

Start by clicking on the “Form a Team” button:

If you are a new participant (you did not participate in 2015) click the “JOIN AS A NEW PARTICIPANT” button. If you participated last year, you can use your login in information from last year. If you don’t remember, click on the “Email me my login information” link and your user name and password will be sent to you.

(3)

Enter the name of your team, and a team goal. ($500.00 is the default.) If you are participating as part of a business or company you can enter the name of the business, otherwise skip that section.

Once you’ve named your team and set a goal, click on the “NEXT STEP” button at the bottom left corner of the page.

If you are a new participant (you did not participate in 2015) click the “JOIN AS A NEW PARTICIPANT” button. If you participated last year, you can use your login in information from last year. If you don’t remember, click on the “Email me my login information” link and your user name and password will be sent to you.

If you’d like to join a team – you can do this in three ways. You may receive a link from the team captain in an email, or you can join from www.ampupbcan.org or your event page. (See section 1). From your event page, click on the “JOIN A TEAM” button.

Enter all or part of the team name (in this example “BCAN Violets”) and click on the “SEARCH FOR A TEAM’ button.

Your team should be displayed below the “SEARCH FOR A TEAM” button. Click on the “JOIN” button:
