A - How to install softcert – Digital Certificate?
Solution A – Installation of Digital Certificate – Digisign ID Basic
1. Save the folder (zip file, as attached in the email) to your PC and extract it.
2. Double click your digital certificate (P12 file).
3. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s Welcome Screen appears. Click Next button for the File to Import Screen.
4. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s File to Import appears. Click Next button for the Password Screen.

2 5. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s Password Screen appears. Type in the password for private key, which is the PIN Code given to you. Tick at the Enable strong private key protection and Mark the private key as exportable. Click Next.
6. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s Certificate Store Screen appears. Click Next .
3 8. Import Private Exchange Key Window appears. Click Set Security Level… button
9. Import Private Exchange Key Windows’s Create Password Screen appears. Type in your preferred user name in the “Password for” edit box. Type in your preferred password in the “Password” and “Confirm” edit boxes. Click Finish button to complete the user name and password creation process.
4 11. Certificate Import Wizard Window appears. Click OK button to end.
B - How to install root certificates?
Solution B – Installation of Root Certificate (Class2root & Digisign ID Basic) 1. Double-click on the root certificate (class1root)
2. The Digicert Class 1 Root CA Certificate Window will be launched. Click Install Certificate… button to install this certificate.
3. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s Welcome Screen appears. Click on the Next button for the Certificate Store Screen.
4. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s Certificate Store Screen appears. Click on the Next button for the Completion Screen.
5. Certificate Import Wizard Window’s Completion Screen appears. Click on the Next button for the Successful Dialog Box.
5 C - How to check if I have already installed my Digital Certificate and root certificates correctly?
Solution C – Digital Certificate and root certificates at your PC.
1. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates >. The following screen will be appear. Double Click at your Digital Certificate (your name).
6 D - How to install ActiveX from Digicert Sdn Bhd?
Solution D – Installation of Active X
1. Please type the following address to access SMPC; http://smpc.treasury.gov.my 2. Choose your language <English> or <Bahasa Melayu>
3. Click on Tax Incentive Application ( Calculator icon), a login screen will then be displayed.
If you do not have any Information Bar pop up on the screen, please refer to Solution E – Configuration at Internet Explorer Setting
7 4. Click on the Information Bar and a menu will appear. Click Run or Install to continue. Give the browser a
moment to run the ActiveX control. Once it has finished, the website should load the site that required the control to function properly. If it does not simply restart your browser for the change to take effect.
5. Please choose for statement No. 3 at Tax Incentive’s menu. Click here wording to proceed.
6. The following screen will be displayed. Click OK
8 7. A screen to select your certificate will be prompt. Please select your Digital Certificate and click Login.
8. The following screen will be displayed, key-in the password that you have registered during the installation of softcert and then click OK.
9. You have successfully installed ActiveX and access to SMPC application once you get the following screen.
9 E - How to install ActiveX if there is no Information Bar pop up on the screen?

16 F - What to do if the certificate Box is still empty (no certificate found) even after ActiveX installation? Or What to do if I got this error message?
Solution F – Reload the Digital Certificate. Error Message
For Windows 2000 up to Windows XP.
1. Please close all your Internet Explorer and reopen again.
2. Check the Digital Certificate installed correctly (refer to Solution C – Digital Certificate and root certificates at your PC)and go to SMPC website to login again.

For Windows 7 and Vista User
1. Close your Internet Explorer browser. Click Start Menu
2. Go to Internet Explorer (IE) icon and Right Click at the IE icon. Choose the Run as administrator.
3. The User Account Control prompt will appear. Please click Yes. Then IE will automatically open. Please go to SMPC website and try to login again.
