R. (7) I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and
you fill me with the joy of salvation.
Blessed is he whose fault is taken away, whose sin is covered.
Blessed the man to whom the LORD imputes not guilt, in whose spirit there is no guile.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, my guilt I covered not.
I said, "I confess my faults to the LORD," and you took away the guilt of my sin. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you just; exult, all you upright of heart.

This Week at STM Parish School This will be a very busy week at STM!
We are preparing for Lent in several ways. Third and Seventh grade students will assist in burning palms to provide the ashes for Ash Wednesday. Seventh grade is also preparing the Mass for Ash Wednesday. All students will be doing special activities in their classrooms for Lent. The whole school will be once again participating in Heifer International as the Lenten stewardship activity. Heifer provides animals for families to become self-sustaining in third world countries.
We will also be hosting the WCEA Visiting Accreditation
Team on Thursday, February 15th. They will be receiving
the reports that the staff have been working on for the last year and a half. They will tour the school and meet the staff. Most of their time will be spent meeting as a team to distribute the work until the visit again in March for the three-day visit. We thank them for volunteering to do this important work for us!
There will be no school on Friday, February 16th and
Monday, February 19th.

SEP Touching Safety Program
In February of last year our Faith Formation Program had offered the Touching Safety class to your children. This March, we will conduct another session that will be incorporated during one of our Sunday and Wednesday classes. In our efforts to protect our vulnerable population, the Archdiocese of Seattle has integrated abuse prevention material into our Faith Formation and Youth Ministry curriculum in the context of teaching our youth about our Catholic faith. To help you understand what your youth will be offered, we ask you to visit:
www.seattlearchdiocese.org/SEP/faithformation.aspx. This will provide you with “Parent/Guardian Resources,” to inform you about the curriculum being used while also making available the actual lessons.
This announcement is to notify you of our new initiative to provide abuse prevention curriculum to our youth in Faith Formation/Youth Ministry. Unless you would like to opt your youth out of this lesson, you are not required to do anything. We will let you know as soon as we have determined the date of the class.
IN OUR PRAYERS Loving God, we join with others of your people here at St. Thomas More asking you to hold in Your hands these people in need of your care:
