When you first set up your AirStore and connect to it wirelessly you will find that you are unable to access the internet, receive email etc. Fortunately AirStore has connection bridging technology which allows you to still be able to connect to the internet whilst connect to AirStore. To achieve this we need to set AirStore to connect to the internet via your wireless router itself.

(13)

HOW DO I CONNECT TO THE INTERNET USING AIRSTORE AS A WIRED TO WIRELESS

BRIDGE ?

In the same way that a wireless connection is bridged, a wired connection can be bridged. In order for this to work the Airstore needs to be connected to a working internet source via an Ethernet cable attached to the AirStore using the mini 8 pin Ethernet adaptor.

You firstly need to refer to to the way in which wireless bridged connections are created on page12. The connection is made in the same way but whereas in fig. 4, fig. 5 & fig. 6 “Wireless” is selected, “Wired” needs to be selected instead.

Once a “Wired” connection is selected the device will connect to the wired network to which it is attached.

RESETTING THE DEVICE

- The device has a recessed hard reset button located adjacently to the power button (it appears as a small hole)

- Whilst the device is powered on, press and hold the RESET button with the end of a paperclip or similar for 5 seconds

- This will reset the device’s settings to factory defaults, but it will not format the storage area on the disk; i.e. you will not lose your data.
