Step 3:

Checking the car for cleanliness and possible damage

After getting in the car, select the desired language with the BMW iDrive (turning the big button in the middle of the console). Then enter your PIN. Report on the cleanliness of the car. If there is damage, re-port it immediately by phone to Alpha City Service Center. You can contact them by using the contact button on the display or use your own phone. Step 2:

Opening the car with your Mobility Card The yellow indicator light in the front window will show that the car is reserved. The car can only be opened with your personal Mobility Card.

Hold your Mobeazy Mobility Card against the LED’s on the front window. The doors will unlock within a few seconds.

You can open your reserved car (remember which car by license) at the scheduled reservati-on time with your Mobeazy Mobility Card.

After confirming your reservation, you may start the car.

Please don’t hold the card in front of the reader again immediately, in case it doesn’t open directly.

(5)

Step 4:

Starting the car with the Start / Stop button With the Start / Stop button (to

the right of the steering wheel), you can start the engine and turn it off.

Step 5:

Refuelling/Recharging with the fuel-card When the fuel level is less than 25%, the display will request that you refuel. There will always be a fuel card in the car. You must refuel when the display requests you to.

The display shows you where the fuel card is sto-red and what its secret code is. Of course you can refuel before the tank is depleted to 25 percent.

For an electric vehicle:

Recharge your battery when it’s almost empty. Use the card you will find in your vehicle and which will give you access to every charging unit in The Netherlands. The NAV option on the display will show you where the nearest charging unit is. You will find the cable you need for charging in the trunk of the car.

1. Plug the charger cable into the charging unit. All charging units are provided with LED indicator lights. When they are green, the unit is available for charging.

2. Hold the charging card (in the car in the glove compartment) against the reader on the charging unit. You will hear a beep. 3. Connect the charging cable to your car. The

LED lights on the charging unit will turn blue. Your car battery should be charging now, but always check your battery before you leave. 4. Before unplugging the charging cable, you

must unlock it from the charging unit with your charging card.

(6)

Step 6: Parking the car

Park your car as usual, then from the display, choose the option “Parking.” You can now lock the car by holding the Mobeazy Mobility Card in front of the LED lights. If you want to unlock the car, you again hold the card in front of the LED lights. When you come back, you can open the car with the Mobeazy Mobility Card (step 2).

Step 7:

Returning the car and ending your reservation You can only return the vehicle to the designated zone. This is the same area where you picked up your car. If you try to return the car outside this zone, you will see the following message on the display:

1. Turn off the engine with the Start / Stop button;

2. In the display, select the option “End reser-vation”;

3. Make sure all windows and doors are closed; 4. Take your personal belongings from the car; 5. Hold the Mobeazy Mobility Card against the

LED’s on the front window.

When the green LED lights up, the car is locked, the reservation has ended and the car will be available for the next user.

5. Unplug the cable from the charging unit and the car. Put the cable back in the trunk. You can drive now for 100 - 140 kilometers before you have to charge your battery again.

After locking the car, it’s not possible to open it immediately again. You have to wait at least 20 seconds.

Remember to unlock the cable from the charging unit with your charging card before unplugging it.

Do not forget to put the charging cable back in the trunk of the car!

You can only unplug the cable after you’ve opened the car.

E-BIKE

An e-bike is basically a regular bicycle with an electric engine to provide support. You can pedal as usual and just use the motor to help out on hills and with headwinds, or use the motor all the time to make riding easier. The experience is entirely different from riding a motor scooter or motorbike. The electric support is smooth and quiet, and it complements rather than supplants muscle power. Mobeazy partners with Sqoot for scooter and bike rentals. The rental agreement is with Mobeazy, but the terms and conditions are Sqoot’s. You will find the necessary phone numbers in this Quick Guide (p. 2).
