Please see Fr. John if you can pitch in.

Who was St. Oscar Romero?

As Archbishop of El Salvador, Fr. Oscar A.

Romero was a source of strength and hope for the poor and the oppressed of his country. He worked with and for them, taking their strug- gles as his own. Fr. Romero wrote and spoke passionately about the need for Christians to work for justice, and he frequently faced threats and danger from those opposed to his ideas.

On March 24, 1980, while celebrating the Eu- charist, St. Oscar Romero was assassinated at the altar by a death squad. The example of his courageous life and death continue to inspire those who struggle for human dignity and jus- tice.

Come and see the movie “Romero”, starring Raul Julia. This 1989 movie depicts his story.

Adults Only, please. Rated PG-13.

Join us on Friday, Sept. 17 @ 7 pm Our Lady of Grace Hall Snacks, water and coffee will be served.

Altar Supplies for August at SMA were graciously donated in loving memory

of Jack Caprio by wife.

An Important and Holy Ministry

Many of our faithful parishioners, due to the pan- demic, have not received Holy Communion in over a year and now, because of age or health, they’re unable to return to Mass. Some of them have asked to receive the Eucharist at home.

We are need people to take the Holy Communion to them. The commitment would be once a month and you will be fully trained. You don’t have to be a Eu- charistic Minister to be a part of this ministry.

If you feel that God is calling you to this wonderful ministry of serving the homebound, please contact me at ldecristoforo@morningstarcatholic.org

or call 781-284-5252 ext. 23.

Thank You, Linda DeCristoforo

In Remembrance and Gratitude

On Saturday, Sept. 11, we will mark 20 years since that terrible day.

We will have special Masses at noon at OLG and 4 pm at SMA.

We will remember the lives lost that day and honor our First Responders.

If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can commemorate, please speak to Fr. John or Linda.

Catholic Appeal Update– Thank you!

I am pleased to share that we have raised a combined $22,760, passing our goal of $22,046!
