Please note that you must establish an IQ web account to use this convenient method of payments to NOBTS. IQ web accounts can be setup and accessed at iqweb.nobts.edu. If you have trouble logging onto IQ web please email [email protected]. See bottom of this note for more instructions about IQ web. The “Secure Electronic Payment Acceptance System” will also be open for the online

registration processes during the year. This will allow students to register online, know their cost, and make payments by credit card at the same time. The FACTS program, which also accepts credit cards, but with a small fee, will still be available for tuition payment plans.

The orientation for the Spring 2008 semester is January 14th will be at 1:00PM at the Baptist Association of Greater Baton Rouge office (10560 Airline Highway). See the www.bagbr.org website for a map to the office. STUDENT IDENTIFICATION

Implementation of New Orleans Seminary’s student identification number system began July 3rd 2007. The new NOBTS identification number (NOBTS-ID), aimed at protecting the privacy and legal rights of members of the NOBTS community, will reduce reliance on students’ and

employees’ Social Security Numbers (SSN).

Students will be able to access their new NOBTS-ID number from their IQ Web account. The new nine digit identification number will be totally unique and will not be derived from a person’s Social Security Number.

Social Security Numbers will continue to be used as required by federal law. According to federal law, the Seminary must report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) the name, address and SSN for persons from whom tuition and related expenses are received. NOBTS is also required to provide employee SSNs to the IRS. For more information regarding the Seminary’s SSN policy, go online to nobts.edu/NOBTS SSNproject/. As the implementation date

approaches, additional information will be posted in The Gatekeeper and The Student Life News. CONTACT INFORMATION

NOBTS periodically updates the IQWeb. Please use this as a guide only. You must go to the NOBTS website. This is not a link to the web site.

1. In order to set up an IQWeb account, new students should go to the seminary’s website (www.nobts.edu) and click on the “IQWeb” link on the menu-bar on the left hand side of the screen.

(5)

3. Next, click on “Current Members of NOBTS without IQ.Web access.” Please note that this is only for people who do not already have IQWeb accounts. If you are a current student who has forgotten your IQWeb login name or password, do not attempt to set up a new account. Instead, please email [email protected] for help with your account.

4. Fill in all of the necessary information on the following webpage and select “Request Account.” Be sure to fill in all fields with asterisks next to them.

(6)

(7)

7. To check your account, logon to IQWeb and click on “Current Balance/Account Information” to view your account history. The seminary uses the email and contact information in IQWeb to send out important information related to student balances and online registration. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that this information remains current. To update your email address, click on the “Update Preferred Email Address” link on the IQWeb homepage.
