the vehicle is in motion above a predetermined vehicle speed threshold (approx. 15 mph (25 kph)),

or at the time of triggering by a TPMS scan tool. In accordance with OE specifications, REDI-Sensor

REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors meet/exceed all US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards

(FMVSS) TPMS Ruling No. 138 requirements as part of the OE TPM system, and are OE-designed and

As per the OE vehicle relearn procedure, in most instances a TPMS scan tool is required for both

REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors and OE sensors. However, for limited sensor and vehicle

combinations, OE auto-learn by driving or delta pressure (temporarily adjusting tire air pressure

+/- 2 psi, be sure to never exceed maximum inflation pressure on tire sidewall) methods may be used

instead.

Verify all tires are aired to proper placard pressure prior to beginning OE vehicle relearn process,

and re-verify again upon vehicle relearn completion (particularly for delta pressure method).

REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors do not respond to magnet triggering, however REDI-Sensor

multi-application sensors can be used in combination with OE magnet trigger sensors or as

replacement for all the OE magnet trigger sensors on a vehicle. For vehicles using OE magnet trigger

sensors, continue to use a magnet for the OE sensors and use a TPMS scan tool for REDI-Sensor

multi-application sensors. Note that limited OE magnet trigger sensors will also dual trigger with

not intended for high pressure truck applications and have a maximum potential pressure reading

of approximately 50 psi to 65 psi, but can vary by application.

Once a TPMS service kit part has had torque applied, do not loosen and reuse these parts. Service kit parts

that have been previously torqued must be replaced with new parts.

Do not use plain brass valve cores with TPMS sensor valves, as the valve core can easily corrode inside the

valve stem leading to frozen/seized parts.

Direct TPMS sensors only need replacement if the battery fails or if the sensor is damaged.
