Health & Safety

● CAC is following CDC Covid-19 safety guidelines: Masks are required when you cannot social distance.

○ Does not matter if you are vaccinated or unvaccinated

○ Practicality: wear indoors when not

actively eating or drinking

● Temp & Paperwork check upon arrival:

○ Med form (BSA AHMR) parts A&B

○ CAC Covid safety acknowledgement

○ CAC commitment to transport

○ Review the Pre-check form, no need

to print, but please do not attend if

you are ill or have been exposed

● Youth Protection

○ YPT current for all adults

○ 2-deep adult leadership

○ At least 1 female leader with girl troops

○ Follow GSS: Youth & adults tent

separately, etc.

● No food or drink in campsites

○ Dietary needs: contact the QM

● Closed-toed shoes at all times

○ Shower shoes in the showers only

● All bathhouses are single stall config

● Let staff know if anything is amiss

Class Expectations

All our volunteer instructors are registered merit badge counselors and professionals or serious hobbyists in the field they are teaching.

BSA Guide to Advancement:

It is acceptable—and sometimes desirable—for merit badges to be

taught in group settings. … We must know that every Scout—actually

and personally—completed them. If, for example, a requirement uses

words like “show,” “demonstrate,” or “discuss,” then every Scout must

do that. It is unacceptable to award badges on the basis of sitting in

classrooms watching demonstrations, or remaining silent during

discussions.

Note: Nova Drones is a beta test and scouts must complete the TRUST

test in order to fly a drone.
