FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES

VS

GAME 13

• Florida State Women’s Basketball makes its fifth visit to the Carrier Dome on Sunday afternoon when it battles the Syracuse Orange (8-5, 1-2) at 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. The Seminoles (6-6, 0-2) are looking to snap a three-game skid inside The Dome, with their last victory coming on Feb. 13, 2014, when Natasha Howard scored a school-record 40 points in an 83-59 win.

Redshirt senior guard Bianca Jackson averaged 21.5 points and shot 55.2 percent (16-of-29) vs. the Orange last season as the two teams split their two meetings. In a 67-52 win by FSU at home last year, Jackson scored 18 points with five assists, then tallied a career-high 25 points and seven assists in a 68-67 win by Syracuse in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals.

Freshman forward Makayla Timpson continues to make an impact in her young career. Despite FSU suffering a 75-69 overtime loss at Wake Forest last game, Timpson recorded 11 points, went 5-of-5 from the free throw line and had six rebounds in 15 minutes. FSU was +9 against the Demon Deacons when she was on the floor.

• Due to injuries, Florida State has been forced to fluctuate its starting lineup quite a bit. Through 12 games, Florida State has had seven differ- ent starting lineup combinations.

Auburn transfer and redshirt junior forward Erin Howard made the most of her first opportunity in FSU’s starting lineup, recording 10 points and 10 rebounds last game at Wake Forest for her first career double-double. Howard earned an immediate waiver last season but sat out due to injury.

• Through FSU’s first two ACC games, it is capitalizing at the free throw line. The Seminoles are 25-of-32 (78.1 percent) to rank third in the ACC in conference play.

• Florida State is one of six ACC teams averaging above 70 points (72.0) in conference play so far.
