The Malaysian Centre of Tourism & Hospitality Education

(MyCenTHE) aims to improve the quality of tourism and hospitality education through collaborative partnerships between the domestic public and private sectors (referred to as clusters), guaranteeing large-scale economic growth in the tourism and hospitality industry as part of the Government’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).

One of the ways that MyCenTHE will lead the way in transforming Malaysia into an international hub for tourism and hospitality education is by building up the academic infrastructure needed to provide students with real-time experience and viable employment opportunities.

The Work-based Learning (WBL) initiative aims to create an interactive curriculum that empowers students with the real-life knowledge and training needed to increase productiveness and job marketability. In addition to giving students the opportunity to earn an allowance as they study, the WBL programme will give MyCenTHE the opportunity to collaborate with other industry leaders to improve the quality of service professionals and increase the country’s tourism appeal.
