Bei den

>EUROPEAN MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS <

in London sind Athletinnen und

Athleten des DJB nur startberechtigt wenn sie :

¾

einer Alterklasse des DJB angehören ( gemäß C § 1 der Wettkampfordnung)

(d.h.: Frauen ab 35 ; Männer ab 40 Jahre)

¾

im Besitz eines gültigen Judopasses sind

¾

an den Deutschen Seniorenmeisterschaften 2005 teilnehmen

¾

das Meldegeld in Höhe von 100,- EUR an den DJB gezahlt haben

( das Meldegeld ist unter keinen Umständen rückzahlungsfähig)

Anmeldeschluß ist der 23.09.05

Meldungen sind nur über den DJB möglich

Jeder Athlet/in kann sich formlos unter Nachweis des eingezahlten Betrages anmelden.

Die offiziellen Formulare werden in Berlin verteilt und müssen dort ausgefüllt werden.

Die weiteren Leistungen müssen von jedem Teilnehmer selber organisiert und finanziert

werden (Reise-,Übernachtung und Verpflegungskosten).

Competition Venue The competition will be held in the main sports hall at: The Triangle

Participation Entry will be limited to 600 players

Individual Competition Format

The competition will be held in accordance with IJF rules.

If less than 3 participants are in a weight category, the category will be joined with the nearest age category (at the organisers discretion).

Weight categories with 5 or less participants will use a round-robin system. Weight categories with 6 participants or more will use the Olympic system.

The organiser reserves the right to combine weight categories if the number of participants in a category is not sufficient.

Team Competition Format

Teams must be comprised of competitors of the same nationality. Women - teams of 3 with no age limits or weight category. Men - teams of 5 with no age limits or weight category.

Referees & Officials Each delegation must bring at least one referee, of A or B international standard. All expenses (accommodation, meals, travelling expenses etc) must be covered by the referees’ National Federation.

The British Judo Association will provide Table Officials for the event.

Sunday 6th November

09:00: Competition for Groups F7-F10 and M7-M10 12:00 (approx): Team Competition

19:30: Event Dinner (at Hilton Hotel)

Transport It is strongly recommended to fly into LONDON GATWICK AIRPORT as this is the closest airport to the Tournament Venue and Hotel. (Please note that traveling time to the Hotel and the Venue from Stansted Airport will be approx 2.5 hours, and traveling time from Heathrow Airport will be approx 1 hour - subject to traffic).

No transfers will be provided from the airport to the Hilton Hotel as the Hotel is situated in the South Terminal of the airport and therefore is within walking distance.

Shuttle buses will be provided (for players / team delegations only) from the official Gatwick tournament hotel to and from the tournament venue on the competition days.

Directions to The Triangle Leisure Centre: From Gatwick Airport take the M23 South (towards Brighton). From the M23/ A23 take the exit signposted A2300 Burgess Hill. Follow signs for Burgess Hill, then The Triangle Leisure Centre.
