TEXTILE ART INTERNATIONAL EXIBITION
A.
INTRODUCTION
Initiated in 1999 as a biennial manifestation, Texpoart project evolved naturally into
an international exhibition. Thus, the 2008 and 2011 editions registered participants from over 20 countries that exhibited in Iaşi, without technical or thematic restrictions.
Given the success of this event, remarkably ample, varied and high quality, we invite you to participate at the third edition of the International Triennial of Textile Art TexpoArt,
which became a reference point to this kind of manifestations organized in Romania.
The exhibition is run by the Romanian Fine Artists Union, the University of Arts “George Enescu” Iaşi – Research and Creation Centre CreArt.
The deadline for the registration is November 10, 2013.

B.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
1. The international textile art exhibition TexpoART is open to all textile artists from Romania
and other countries, including senior students from the art universities.
2. The artists may subscribe textile artworks, with any topic, realised since 2012, with the following technical criteria:
- the works inspired by any theme are accepted - all techniques and textile materials can be used
- all kind of textile objects parietal or sculptural are accepted (except textile installations), only if they respect the terms of participation
- the work must demonstrate high aesthetic and technical qualities - the selected works must be complete and ready to be hung - the work shall be made in imperishable materials
- the works must be perfectly finished inclusive on their reverse side and ready to be exhibited
3. The artists may register at this exhibition with only one artwork, that meets the criteria listed above.
4. Dimensions: Parietal artworks:
- minimum 30 cm (on any side) - maximum 100 cm (on any side)
- the maximum weight admitted to the package is 3 kg Tridimensional artworks:
- minimum 30 cm (on any side) - maximum 40 cm (on any side)
- the maximum weight admitted to the package is 3 kg
5. The registration deadline is November 10, 2013. The registration forms will be sent online to the following address: texpoart_romania@yahoo.com
Documents requested for registration:
- the registration form, completed in capital letters (Word format)
- two digital images of the work (one with the entire work and one with a representative detail for the technique and material used). The photographs must be A4, in format JPE and with a resolution of 300 DPI. The quality of the images sent may influence the result of the selection. - a short updated resume, maximum one page (Word format)
All documents must be completed in Romanian or English.
6. Under no circumstances should be sent the work without a previous registration. The works that are not judged will not be exposed.
7. Trough the registration form, the artist authorizes the organizers of the exhibition to use all documents sent, for the promotion of the event. The materials sent for the registration shall not be returned to the author, they shall remain in the ehihibiton’s archive.
8. The work will be judged based on photographical material sent by participant.
9. The jury reserves the right to reject any works that do not correspond to the exhibition’s criteria.
10. The results of the selection will be announced by e-mail until December 10, 2013.
11. The accepted works must be sent between January 10, 2014 and March 1st, 2014, to following address:

12. The work will be accompanied by the registration form and a copy of the receipt proving the payment of participation fee. The artists must also send a CD with the registration form, the digital images and a short resume, written in Romanian or English.
13. On the package shall be noted - No commercial value. 14. The participation fee is 50 Euro.
15. The participation fee will be paid through Western Union or any other similar service, on the name MIRUNA MIHAELA HAŞEGAN.
16. The participation fee covers the expenses for the promotion of the event and the reshipment of the works.
C. ORGANIZERS RESPONSABILITIES
The organizers undertakes to:1. organize the exhibition with the selected works;
2. inform correctly the participants regarding the exhibition terms and dates;
3. ensure the safety of the works, from the moment of receiving them until their reshipment to the author;
4. promote the exhibition: local, national and international; 5. organize the exhibition’s varnishing;
6. return the works respecting the exhibition calendar.
At the end of this edition of TexpoArt each participant will receive a presentation CD containing images from the exhibition and a poster of the event.
D. PARTICIPANTS RESPONSABILITIES
The artists selected undertakes to:1. respect all the exhibition’s terms; 2. send all the required materials; 3. respect the exhibition’s calendar;
4. to pack the work properly, to avoid damaging it during transport;
5. inform the exhibition organizers of any change regarding the return address;
E. OTHER OBSERVATIONS
1. The exposed works will not be commercialized during the exhibition.
2. Judging the work does not involve any awards, but their acceptance into the exhibition. 3. The organizers reserve the right to refuse to exhibit the works that differs from the images submitted for registration.
