Prayer for the New Year

Merciful God, we ask that you give our leaders the wisdom to guide our nation and the world during this coming year. Help us to protect the poor and all those who are struggling. Provide for their needs and give them hope. Open new oppor-tunities for them and furnish the resources they need to live with dignity. Encourage those who have enough to share essential resources with those who lack the necessities of life, and to do so with humble, grateful, and loving hearts. Amen.

Famous artifacts from our church, St. Rose, will be on display at the Crocker Art Museum from January 28th thru April 22nd. If you have

been coming to St. Rose for a long time, you may remember the gold-colored crucifix and set of 6 candlesticks with a rose leaf design that were on our altar for decades. They were designed specifically for our church by famous artist, E. Charlton Fortune, commissioned by the McClatchy Family. It turns out that the artist became quite famous and her works are being displayed throughout California. Mark your calendar and try to visit the Museum during the time listed above, and see if you recognize the display.

Su cuarto es templo del Espíritu Santo.

-1 Corintios 6: 19
