Advanced Bariatric Surgery:
Managing Complications and Revisional Surgery
This course will feature didactic instruction, videos, and case observation. Attendees will also have the opportunity to bring their own case examples to an expert surgeon round table. A hands-on lab will emphasize the safe and effective use of ECHELON ENDOPATH® staplers, HARMONIC® and ENSEAL® devices.
Current Approach to Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy
This highly interactive course will focus on clinical data and surgical techniques using didactic instruction, videos, and case review. The hands-on lab will emphasize the science of stapling and the safe and effective use of ECHELON ENDOPATH® staplers, HARMONIC® and ENSEAL® devices in LSG surgery will be emphasized.
Laparoscopic Duodenal Switch Program
This course is designed for advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgeons who currently perform stapled bariatric procedures and are interested in adding DS procedures to their practice. Participants observe DS procedures and discuss clinical data as well as surgical techniques. The hands-on lab will emphasize the safe and effective use of ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staplers, the HARMONIC® Product Family, and ENDOPATH XCEL® Trocars.

Bariatric Masters Program
This course exposes surgeons to topics including: best practices in managing complications, revisional surgery, delivering obesity education to patients, referring care providers, and global trends in obesity procedures.
Multi-Specialty Super Course
This course gives surgeons the opportunity to participate in various topics across three specialties - Bariatric, Colorectal, and Hernia - as participants choose sessions based on their interests. Attendees gain hands-on experience in an animate lab setting that teaches the science of tissue management in stapling and energy.
Fellows in Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery Program
This 2 day program with an optional half day of gastric band certification provides the Bariatric Fellow with opportunities to engage in discussions regarding the latest advances in minimally invasive bariatric surgery. The interactive sessions will address patient selection, surgical techniques, and skills for managing potential complications. In addition, there will be expert panel and mentorship sessions from a multi-disciplinary team. Hands-on labs will emphasize the safe and effective use of ECHELON ENDOPATH® staplers, HARMONIC® and ENSEAL® devices in Bariatric surgery.

This educational event is sponsored by Ethicon to provide training on the safe and effective use of its products in surgical procedures. This interactive surgical preceptorship is designed for laparoscopic bariatric surgeons who are interested in increasing their laparoscopic bariatric stapling procedure skills. Didactic, videos, inanimate tissue lab and live surgery observation may be used. The safe and effective use of ECHELON ENDOPATH® staplers, HARMONIC® and ENSEAL® devices in Bariatric surgery will be emphasized.

ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY Curved Adjustable
Gastric Band Proctorship
This course provides proctored instruction during live cases using the ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY Curved Adjustable Gastric Band. The FDA requires this course for bariatric surgeons currently performing gastric band surgery who are interested in offering this procedure to their patients.

Understanding and Treating Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes -
Metabolic Applied Research Study (MARS)
This interactive SURGiVIEW program leverages MARS study data to better understand the mechanism of obesity. This webcast provides perspective from one of the authors of the MARS study, Dr. Lee Kaplan, as well as the unique perspective of Dr. David Cummings, an endocrinologist and advocate of treating obesity as a disease.

This program provides the surgical assistant with the most updated information on safe and effective use of Ethicon products in minimally invasive surgery. Didactic sessions will discuss advanced suture technologies, energy modalities, stapling instrumentation, OR teamwork, and OR set up. Lab experience will focus on the safe and effective use of the HARMONIC® Product Family, STRATAFIX™ Knotless Tissue Control Devices, and ECHELON FLEX™ Powered ENDOPATH® Stapler in minimally invasive procedures.
Enabling Supply Chain Excellence
This course provides in-depth information about Ethicon’s supply chain tools. Course will encourage discussions with peers in the industry; experts from Ethicon and Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. will be available to answer questions.
OR Educators Course
Considering the rapidly changing technologies used in the operating room, it is essential that OR Educators have access to best practices in nursing education. Case studies on best practices for teaching safe and effective use
of Ethicon Endocutters, Energy, Biosurgical and Wound Closure products will be reviewed and practiced.
OR Champs Course
Now in its twelve year at Ethicon, this course provides OR staff with didactic and hands-on experience with the
