Our Bathrooms service operates within both domestic and commercial properties, including:

independent sector and as part of our package of services
offered in support of the 'Decent Homes' programme.
SPI currently installs around 3500 new bathrooms and
2500 new kitchens per year.

From the removal of old solid fuel boilers to the installation
of full domestic energy efficient central heating systems,
SPI have been completing high quality domestic installations
since 1965.
In conjunction with our other services – gas service, electrical
installations, plumbing, disabled adaptations – SPI are able to
provide a complete internal refurbishment package.
As well as installations, our technicians also operate a 24-hour emergency call-out service, 365 days a year. All call-outs are co-ordinated via our local contact centres.
SPI currently undertakes around 6000 central heating installations annually, whilst providing maintenance to over 60,000 properties. All installations come with a 24-month warranty.

High quality service and maintenance of gas heating
equipment not only helps extend the life of the appliance,
they also ensure compliance with health and safety
regulations. SPI Ltd has been undertaking servicing and
maintenance of gas appliances for over 25 years, and
currently service over 60,000 domestic boilers and 400
commercial boilers annually and attends to 50,000
reactive emergency calls.
From issuing of Landlord Certificates (CP12) through to helping tenants maximise the energy efficiency of their appliances, SPI’s CORGI registered engineers provide the quality of service clients can depend upon.
KLOEs and KPIs
SPI’s ability to exceed client KPIs and KLOEs (key lines of enquiries) are a major benefit to many customers.
This was recognised in the Audit Commission Report of Trent and Dove Housing in August 2005, which stated: “During the period, 99.58% of properties had gas appliances serviced with current gas safety certificates,” and “98.5% of tenants were satisfied with the overall service, including contact and access facilitation”.
Health and Safety
Gas safety is an important, customer-driven area. Our clients need confidence in our engineers to carry out gas safety and repair work. In addition to installation and maintenance, we work with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and have successfully completed contracts for gas safety and inspections on behalf of Birmingham City Council, Coventry City Council, South
Warwickshire Housing Association and Walsall MBC.

Electrical Installation
Established in 1994, SPI’s Electrical division is now one of
the largest service providers in the market. Undertaking
over 2,500 rewires, 5,000 upgrades and 10,000 tests per
annum, we also cover approximately 15,000 homes on
maintenance works. The full range of services include:

Working in this sensitive area, our specialised team undertakes
each individual disabled adaptation as a complete project.
We manage each project from the design and build stage through
electrics, plumbing, decoration, glazed tiling and floor laying, with
tenant liaison from start to finish. All trades are from SPI direct
labour force.
This comprehensive service serves to reduce the duration of the
adaptation and the impact on the tenant, as their needs are often
greater than the average able-bodied person.
Scope of works
As part of the adaptation work we will undertake: •Isolating and removing old bathroom suite
and/or kitchen fitments
•Structural alterations to doorways, floors and walls for new equipment and wheelchair access
•Relocation of underground drains and soil pipes
•Rewiring for new shower position, cooker, altered light switches etc.
