Why  GIS?

Knowing  what  and  where  is  important

•  GIS  is  an  informa6on  system  that

integrates,  stores,  edits,  analyzes,   shares,  and  displays  spa6al

informa6on.

Why  Mobile?

•  Efficiency

•  Cost  effec6veness

•  It’s  beber  than  the  alterna6ve,  and  beber  than  what

it  was  in  the  past

•  Must  consider  complexity  of  the  data  to  be  collected

§  Mobile  is  not  always  the  best  solu6on

•  Quality  Control
