NECMETTIN ERBAKAN UNIVERSITY
2013-2014 ACADEMIC YEAR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with the decisions taken at Higher Education General Meeting dated on 13.02.2013, foreign students will be admitted to Necmettin Erbakan University based on the criteria of Necmettin Erbakan University International Student Admission Directive in 2013-2014 academic year.
Qualities Required for Applicants
a) On condition that candidates are either at the last year of high school or have graduated from high school;
1) Applicants have foreign nationality,
2) Those with T.C. nationality at birth who possess the Ministry of Interior’s approval to change their nationality and their children under statuary age who present the Document Pertaining to Exercise of Rights granted by Turkish Citizenship Law (In 5901 numbered 7th article of Turkish Citizenship Law, there is a provision ‘(1) The child born from a married mother and father of a Turkish citizenship in or out of Turkey is accepted as a Turkish citizen’. It would also be beneficial for the candidates who are going to apply to the international student admission to investigate the Turkish Citizenship Law. 3) Those with dual citizenship status who had foreign nationality at birth and
have later gained T.C. (Turkish) nationality,
4) Those of T.C. nationality who have attended and completed their secondary school education in a foreign country other than TRNC (including those who completed their secondary school education in another school in abroad except from TRNC)
5) Applicants of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) citizens who are residents of TRNC and have completed high school education with GCE A,L having registered and educated at the collages and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and possessing or will posses GCE-AL exam results
(b) The applicants
1. Applicants who are citizens of Turkish Republic or completed their whole secondary school education in Turkey or in TRNC.
2.Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) citizens (except those who have completed their high school education with GCE AL and who registered and educated at the collages and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and possessing or will posses GCE-AL exam results)
3. Applicants with dual citizenship whose first nation is T.C with the birth identified in article a second paragraph,(except those who have completed their secondary school education in a foreign country apart from TRNC / except those have completed their secondary school education in a Turkish school in a foreign country other than TRNC)
4. Applicants who have dual citizenship one of which is the TRNC (except those who have completed their secondary school education with GCE AL and who registered and educated at the collages and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and possessing or will posses GCE-AL exam results)
5.Those who are educated at the schools within the embassy, those who are Turkish citizens and educated in foreign high schools in Turkey or dual citizens whose first nation is TC with the birth identified in article a second paragraph, applications will not be accepted.
Conditions for Application
(1) Explanations about the applications are announced on the webpage of our University before the application date.
(2) Applications should be made in person or by mail to the Rector of Necmettin Erbakan University Directorate of Student Affairs addressed at Musalla Bağları Mahallesi Ruhi Bağdadi sokak No:10 Selçuklu/KONYA between the stated dates. (3) The date of submission of documents to the relevant unit is taken as a basis for
application date. Applications of the applicants, who don’t submit the required documents due to mail within the application period aren’t taken into consideration. (4) Applications of the applicants, whose any documents are missing within the
(5) In case of applications for more than one unit, application fee, which is determined in the application announcements, should be deposited for each unit. The name of the unit should be stated in the receipt of application fee.
(6) To meet the application conditions does not necessarily mean that the applicant has the right to be admitted.

Applications are made with the following copies of the documents which are approved by Turkish Republic Notaries or Turkish Embassies or Consulates in applicants’ countries;
1. Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students 2. Approved Turkish copy of high school diploma,
3. Turkish translation copy of the transcript which is approved by the directorate of high school and showing all the courses and grades during whole high school education, (If available, the version transformed in 100 grading system)
4. Approved copy of the document showing the diploma grade, 5. Copy of Passport
6. 2 photographs (4,5 x 6 cm)
7. Turkish approved copy of the document of valid examination result of the exams, 8. Turkish approved copy of the document showing the state of education of students
who are about to graduate at application date.
9. Receipt for the application fee(100 USD is supposed to be paid into the following account number for each department/program )

1. The results are announced on the university’s and the related unit’s web site. 2. Registrations are made by the Directorate of Student Affairs. It is obligatory for the
applicants to come to registration in person. Applicants are not registered via internet or mail. Documents Required for Registration
The following documents are required for registration:
(1) Original high school diploma and “Equivalency Certificate”, which is taken from Turkish Embassy or Consulate in applicant’s country or TC Ministry of Education or provincial directorate of the Ministry of Education, and indicating that high school diploma is equivalent to the diplomas of Turkish high schools,

(2) Original copy of the examination result sent for application. (3) Notarized Turkish copy of passport with education visa
(4) Bank receipt proving that the tuition fee was paid to the related bank as declared in the announcements,
(5) 12color headshot photographs (4,5X6cm)
(6) A document stating that the applicant has the financial guarantee amount determined by the Directorate of University for related academic year, with regard to the applicant’s financial condition’s eligibility for continuing higher education in Turkey.
(7) Document providing the existence of compulsory health insurance for one year.
(8) If exists, Turkish proficiency certificate for the students who are placed to the programs whose medium of instruction is Turkish.
(9) If exists, English proficiency certificate for the students who are placed to the programs whose medium of instruction is English.
