Connecting to the College WiFi
Connecting your iPhone or iPad to the Internet
1. From your Home screen, go to setting > WiFi2. Turn on Wi-Fi. and select the MC-WiFi network from the list of available networks.
3. When asked, enter your unique WiFi password and tap Join. If tapping Join has no effect, the password you entered is too short. 4. After you've joined the network, you should see next to the
network, and in the upper-left side of your display.
Connecting your Mac to the Internet
1. Click the WiFi menu icon and select the MC-WiFi network from the list of available networks.
2. When prompted, enter your password for the WiFi network. 3. Check "Remember this network" to have your Mac automatically
join the college network.
If you don't know the password to the WiFi network please contact the ICT Support Helpdesk
Setting up your email on a iOS Device
Set up your Marlborough College email in the iOS Mail app
1. Go to your iPhone or iPad's Settings > scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords > Add Account. 2. Select Exchange.
3. Enter your @marlboroughcollege email address and a description of your account. Tap Next. 4. Enter the password associated with your email account. Tap Sign in.
Installing the Microsoft Office 356 Suite
1. Go to www.office.com and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in. 2. Sign in with your college email account and password.
3. After signing in, From the Microsoft 365 home page select Install Office
4. Once the download has completed, open Finder, go to Downloads, and double-click Microsoft Office installer.pkg file. 5. On the first installation screen, select Continue to begin the installation process.
6. Review the software license agreement, and then click Continue. 7. Select Agree to agree to the terms of the software license agreement. 8. Choose how you want to install Office and click Continue.
9. Review the disk space requirements or change your install location, and then click Install
10. Enter your Mac login password, if prompted, and then click Install Software. (This is the password that you use to log in to your Mac.) 11. The software begins to install. Click Close when the installation is finished.
Installing the Zoom client
1. Go to https://marlboroughcollege.zoom.us/
2. At the bottom of the page click Download Client. 3. Under Zoom Client for Meetings, click Download.
4. Double click the downloaded file. It is typically saved to your Downloads folder. 5. Once the installer opens, click Continue.
6. Choose the destination for installation. 7. Click Continue.
8. Click Install.
9. Enter your Mac login password, if prompted, and then click Install Software. (This is the password that you use to log in to your Mac.) 10. Once the installation is complete, click Close. Launch the Zoom client Application.
11. Click on Sign In, and then on the right panel, click on “Sign in with SSO”
12. When prompted for a company domain, type in “marlboroughcollege” and then click on continue.
13. You will be sent to the College login screen, here you will be prompted to enter your college email and college password. 14. Click sign in, and allow the page to open zoom. You will be redirected to your client and ready to access classes.
Setting up Microsoft Teams and OneNote
Microsoft Teams and Microsoft OneNote is part of the Microsoft office 365 suite, so you should have downloaded and installed already! From the Launchpad on your Apple device, search for “Microsoft Teams” or “Microsoft OneNote”
Download the Firefly for Students App
1. Open the App Store, then select Search
2. Type Firefly for Students in the search bar, then tap the Search key. 3. Select Get.
4. To start the download, choose Install. You might be prompted to enter your iCloud password. The app is added to your device.
Log in to your Firefly for Students app
1. Tap the app's icon to open it.
2. If you'd like to receive notifications from the app, choose Allow. 3. Enter your school code MARLBOROUGH, then select Next. 4. Enter your usual Firefly credentials, then select Log in.
You're logged in and ready to use the app.
