SILNAM IT Solutions Pty Ltd is a Namibian Information Technology company with the primary objectives of building local capacity and providing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions and services to government and private organizations in Namibia and the regional countries.

Service Portfolio

SILNAM offers the following ICT Services to Public and Private Institutions of Namibia

• Consultancy, Implementation and Support Services for Business operations with solutions for:

o Accounting and Financial Management Systems,

o Asset Management System,

o Human Resource Management and Payroll System,

o Customer Relation Management System,

o Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Solution

o Performance Management and Monitoring and Evaluation System.

• Design and Development of ICT Solution customized to the specific needs of Customers for which off-the-shelf applications are not available.

• Post implementation Support Services.

• Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Hardware and Networking Equipment.

We invite applications from experienced professionals with good communication skills to support our local and international expanding operations for the positions listed below. We are also interested in candidates with good academic degrees in ICT and related fields, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, to be groomed into the field of Consultancy and Solutions development and Implementations.

(1) SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

o Take responsibility for the design, development, testing and support services for existing and new projects / systems.

o Understand and analyze client’s business process in order to ensure the systems are in support of these needs.

o Prepare detailed technical specifications, identify integration points and review technical specifications created by other developers with the team and across interfacing teams.

o Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems with little or no guidance and ability to understand what routine and general maintenance needs to be completed with little to no instructions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

o A recognised Degree in the field of ICT (Computer Science, Business Computing, Information Systems, Software Engineering).

o Minimum 4 years proven relevant experience in software development/Maintenance

o Advanced Development and Implementation Application software using Oracle technologies (Preferably Oracle Developer Suite, Forms and Reports 10g, SQL, PLSQL and above)

o Must be able to demonstrate an advanced proficiency in using Siebel Tools, EAI, EIM, eScript, VBC's, Integration objects, Web Services, HTTP & Assignment Manager.

o Must have a solid understanding of relational databases, database design methodology and systems integration.

o Be able to develop Siebel Inbound and Outbound web services. o Ability to work on Siebel Configuration, Scripting, Workflows and EAI. o Performance tuning of complex applications software.

o Be comfortable with both traditional waterfall methodology and Agile/Scrum environments.

o Must have a solid understanding of the Oracle database, database methodology and systems integration.

o Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to provide timely and accurate advice on a range of technical issues.

o Excellent in communication, presentation and Interpersonal Skills.

o Ability to meet deadlines, working with limited supervision in a team environment.

o Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to analysts and have goof experience and skills in writing technical documentation.

o Oracle DB, PLSQL, Toad, Stored Procedures.

o Oracle Certified Professional Certification will be an added benefit.

(2) SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

o Participate in the design, development and testing support for existing and new systems.

o Assist in compiling technical specifications, identify integration points and review technical specifications created by other developers with the team and across interfacing teams.

(3) SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Responsibilities

o Responsible for installation and providing support for Solaris OS 10 and 11

o Responsible for installation and configuration of Application Software (like Oracle ERP Solution Suite)

o Ensure system is functioning on a 24 X 7 basis o Troubleshooting any ad-hoc issues

o Report to Senior Engineer / Lead Engineers

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

o A recognized Degree in the field of ICT (System Engineering, System Administration, Computer Science)

o Minimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering

o Experience in Installation and configuration of HP/Oracle servers

o Ability to troubleshoot problems on Operating System, hardware and networks. o Good skills in SOLARIS / LINUX / WINDOWS Operating Systems administration o Practical knowledge in setting up and configuring networks using TCP/IP protocol

in a LAN/WAN environment

o Knowledge in Microsoft/Oracle database 10g & 11g installation and administration o Basic Network Administration

o Good Interpersonal & Analytical skills o Ability to work in the Team

o Report writing skills

(4) BUSINESS/APPLICATION CONSULTANTS

Responsibilities

o Participate in the project implementation activities under supervision of a team leader

o Assist with the development of user manuals and software documentation o Attend training courses related to Oracle Applications or other Business Solutions o Conduct research to keep abreast with latest development

o Provide training to the clients

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

o A recognized Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance Management and Business Computing

o Minimum 3 years in a financial or business analysis environment o Possess Accounting skills

(5) MARKETING CONSULTANT

Responsibilities

• Execute marketing and sales activities in the organisation

Assist with the development of promotional materials

• Reporting on marketing plans and activities of the organisation

• Analyse business environment and market segmentation

• Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations

• Oversee contract management,

• Partner management

• Tender & Proposal management

Requirements

• A recognized B Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Public Relations or Communication

• Minimum 4 years relevant experience

• Ability to manage customer relations

• Good Interpersonal, Communication, Presentation and Analytical skills

(6) HR & ADMIN OFFICER Responsibilities

o Ensure all matters of HR & Administration are carried out as per company policies and labor laws of the country.

o Carry out of the recruitment and selection functions of the company o Promote Company Culture and Work Ethics

o Assist in Change management activities for Project implementations o Payroll administration

o Provide Performance Management support and assistance o Keep all documentations, Job descriptions & job evaluation

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

o A recognized Bachelors Degree in Human Resources/ Industrial Psychology o Minimum 3 years HR experience

o Good knowledge of Human Resources Policies

o Good Interpersonal, Communication and Analytical skills

(7) ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities

o Processing of accounting transactions and reconciliation & reporting o Liaise with stakeholders of the company for matters of finance o Manage Debtors and Creditors accounts.

o Process payments and Tax returns Qualifications and Experience

o A recognized Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field o Minimum 2 years of working experience

o Highly trustworthy, discrete and ethical.

o Detail-oriented, efficient and organized professional

o Knowledge of Pastel Accounting will be an added advantage

o Knowledgeable and understanding of Financial regulations (including Tax)
