GENERAL  SERVICES  -­‐  IMPORTANT  INFORMATION    

 

HOTEL  RESERVATIONS  

For  Hotel  reservations  artists  will  be  able  to  use  the  booking  service  on  our  website  at  the  following  link:  

http://www.florencebiennale.org/hotel.php  

 

GENERAL  CATALOGUE  

• The  catalog  will  be  published  by  Fausto  Lupetti  Editore  publishing  house.  Format  21x23.4  cm,  weighing   approximately  2  kilos,  will  contain  about  400  pages  dedicated  not  only  to  artists  but  also  to  Florence,  critics,   awards  and  all  pertaining  to  the  Florence  Biennale  events.    Each  artist  is  entitled  to  (1)  one  complimentary   copy  of  the  catalog  that  can  be  picked  up  during  the  Biennale.  

 

• For  artists  who  will  NOT  BE  PRESENT  at  the  exhibition  may  complete  FORM  B  (attached)  and  the  

complimentary  copy  of  the  catalog  will  be  sent  home  by  mail  by  March  2014,  by  paying  the  shipping  fees  in   advance,  or  picked  up  by  an  authorized  person  by  completing  the  3rd  Party  FORM  (attached).  

   

PRENOTAZIONE  CENA  DI  GALA  

A  special  moment  of  the  event  is  dedicated  to  the  Gala  Dinner  to  be  held  Sunday,  December  8th  at  about  

21.00.  This  night  is  a  special  occasion  of  celebration  and  where  artists  can  meet  the  various  personalities  of  the   art  world  and  journalism  that  will  be  present.      Each  participating  artist  at  the  Florence  Biennale  is  entitled  to   (1)  one  complimentary  ticket  for  the  gala  dinner.  Considering  that  the  number  of  participants  in  this  evening   can  vary  from  300  to  700  people,  it  is  essential  to  reserve  additional  tickets  to  the  Gala  dinner  for  family  and   guests,  specified  in  FORM  A  (attached).  The  cost  of  the  additional  Gala  dinner  tickets  is  of  €70  per  person.      

PRENOTAZIONE  VIDEO  DVD  

Throughout  the  exhibition  days  a  video  documentation  will  be  made,  that  will  include  all  the  most  important   moments  of  the  IX  Edition  of  the  New  Florence  Biennale  such  as:  opening,  concerts,  awards,  etc.  The  video   service  includes  the  general  coverage  of  the  exhibition  with  wide  shots  to  allow  maximum  visibility  (We  do  not   guarantee  that  all  works  are  visible).  Each  artist  will  receive  a  complimentary  copy  of  the  DVD.  Artists  can   purchase  additional  DVD  at  a  cost  of  €15  each.  

 

TECHNICAL  FORM  –  ARTWORK  LABELS    

The  Technical  Form  for  Artwork  Labels  (attached  )  serves  the  Organizing  Team  to  create  labels  that  will  be   distributed  to  the  Artists  upon  arrival  and  registration  in  the  exhibition.  Artists  are  asked  to  complete  the  form   and  send  via  email  or  fax  ,  no  later  than  October  20,  to  allow  you  to  have  the  time  required  for  printing.    

INSTALLATION  AND  DE-­‐INSTALLATION    

Installation:  Thursday,    November  28  and  Friday,  November  29  2013  from  8:30  –  20.00       De-­‐Installation:  Monday,  December  9  and  Tuesday,  December  10  from  8:00  –  20.00   At  the  Fortezza  da  Basso,  Viale  Strozzi,  1  (Porta  Santa  Maria  Novella),  50100  Firenze,  Italia

FORM  Type  A  must  be  completed  by  the  artists  who  will  be  present  at  the  Exhibition  in  Florence  and  sent  by   email  or  fax  our  office  no  later  than  October  20,  2013.      This  form  will  summarize  the  total  costs  of  the  services   requested  by  the  Artist.      

 

(It  excludes  the  costs  relating  to  the  shipment  of  the  artworks  and  the  hotel  reservations  which  are  treated   separately,  as  indicated  in  the  Regulations).
