FM200 System Description

The proposed FM200 Fire Suppression System will protect the above room by Stand Alone System with Main &

Reserved Cylinders and the cylinders will be placed inside/outside the protected rooms in an appropriate location.

The system proposed is a total flooding, FM200 system designed in accordance with manufacturer standards with

Design Concentration of 7.1% and flooding factor of 0.5562 @ 21°C.

The FM200 System protected room is provided with a stand-alone (conventional) extinguishing release control panel connected with detectors, abort switch, pull station, alarm bells and sounders / flashers. 1st stage alarm sounders are provided inside the protected risk and 2nd stage flasher outside the room is provided.

The release control panel has a fire/fault volt free contact output that can be interface to existing Building FACP by others.

8. Inclusions & Consideration:

 This offer is based on the Drawings and Specifications provided. If it should prove necessary to

amend our proposals, when more detailed information becomes available, major changes in comparison with the present information, we reserve the right to amend our quotation accordingly.  We are proposing our standard Products as mentioned in section-6, Since Vendor list

are not available.

 Proposed Fire Hose cabinets are solid door type only. Size, thickness and finishing are as per

manufacturer’s standard only.

 Any changes in Drawings and Room Schedule provided and its description type more than our

proposal will be consider as additional cost.

 Room dimension for FM200 Clean agent Fire Suppression System and Foam Water Spray Deluge

System are as per the drawings provided along with the enquiry. Any changes on the dimension that will affect our gas calculation and costing, we reserve to amend the quote accordingly.

 FM200 storage containers (red epoxy polyester finish) are designed to hold FM200 in liquid form

and Nitrogen, which is used to super-pressurize the container to 24.8 bar (360 psi) at 20 deg. C

 We assume that FM200 rooms are sealed to contain the gas inside the risks protected. Closing

of all openings into the room and any other openings that might dilute or allow the escape of the extinguishing gas is by others.

 Extinguishing Panel Enclosure for FM200 System is Surface Mounted, IP30, 1.2mm mild sheet

steel, Epoxy powder coated Red RAL 3002, 230 Vac and not IP21 to IEC 60529, enameled steel cabinet

 06 Lamps Status Unit indicating/ illuminating status of the system will be provided outside each

protected FM200 Space and not a Graphic Annunciator type of panel.

 Stand by Power for the FM200 Extinguishing Panel is Lead Acid Batteries for 24 Hours only and

detection part of FM200 Protected Space and Detector, Heat, Rate Compensated, 140º F, Vert. for the Foam Water Spray Deluge System protected space.

 We have considered the Tie-In connection from existing network is taken from Isolation Valve Outlet. Any live tapping or any draining requirement shall be carried out by additional cost.

 Proposed above ground pipes for Water based system as GI. Seamless ASTM A. 53 Gr. B Sch. 40,

and for Clean agent system GI. Seamless ASTM A 53 Gr. B Sch. 40.

 We have considered Galvanized 3000 lbs. forged steel fittings for the FM200 System.

 For interfacing with other systems – only one volt free contacts in extinguishing control panel

&Fire alarm panel are available.

 Interfacing are only available for the below mentioned points

A. Common Fire

B. Common Fault

C. Gas Release Signal

D. 1st Stage Alarm

E. 2nd Stage Alarm

*Any additional interfacing requirements if required can be provided at additional cost.

 We have Proposed MFACP located at MRO building, other building considered for SUB fire alarm

panel.

 Single graphic station with PC with printer considered for MRO building.

 VESDA panel considered for telecom room based on the drawings. Interfacing with fire alarm

panel.

 We have considered Fire rated FP200 cables for Fire detection& alarm system.

 All components are suitable for indoor/ outdoor & safe environment and not flameproof / explosion proof.

 All equipment proposed is Civil defense approved.

 Design Documentation like Design Drawing and Technical Submittal, Operation & Maintenance

Manual are included in the offer.

 Room Integrity Test: Any gas extinguishing system should have room integrity to establish the

pressure retention properties of the room. This test shall establish the ability of the room to retain the gas & also if a vent is required. We have included for integrity testing for all the FM200 Gas Fire Suppression System protected areas in our offer. However, if the initial test may fail, we shall provide a second Room Integrity Test which shall incur variation.

 All items quoted in our offer is strictly based on the drawings. Any item not mentioned in our

quotation is not part of our offer and will be quoted separately if required.

 Any interpretation or variation other than the above should be brought to our notice based on

which our offer will be revised.

 Procurement of system equipment’s is after approval of Technical Submittal and Design Drawings & Calculations from Consultants.

 Our standard warranty will be for 12 months from the date of commissioning the systems against manufacturing defects.

 Material Submittals and datasheets shall be provided against order confirmation.

 For approval of System Design Drawings by Civil Defense; our scope is limited to providing all

necessary supporting documents and liaising with CD office for such approvals. Any Fees levied for approval shall be paid by the customer at actual to CD.

9. Exclusions:

 All kind of Civil Works, Grouting, Pipe sleeves, Fire sealant, Valve chambers and Pit covers,

Escutcheons, Concrete thrust blocks, Hume pipes for Road crossing, Excavation, Backfilling, any type of foundations and Poles.

 Any Works related Structural, Electrical; any other mechanical which is not comes under fire

protection scope.

 Manlift/Scissor Lift for access above 3 meters height installation works.

 Crane/Fork Lift

 Any other equipment/ instrument/ materials other than provided BOQ.

 Seismic supports and Seismic restrained system, Building expansion joints.

 Sway bracing supports, Secondary Structural supports for Sprinkler and Firefighting piping.

 Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Fire water storage tank & Tank accessories, Fire pump sets, Pump room building, Plinths, etc., Since fire water is tapped from Existing network.

 Post indicators for External Underground valves.

 Sprinkler indicator panel.

 Weight contact device underneath the fire extinguishers in the Fire hose cabinets are excluded.

 Extract Fan, Pressure Relief, Smoke Clearance Ventilation, Drop/Louver Curtains & Fire/Smoke

Damper. Automatic/Magnetic Door Closure/Holder/Release.

 Pressure Relief / Automatic Fire dampers in air conditioning ductwork are excluded.

 Pressure reducing station is excluded since not indicated in the design drawings.

 Actual Discharge Test for FM200 and Foam Water Spray Deluge System & Factory acceptance

test.

 Stand by Power of 72 hours for the Extinguishing/ Release Panels.

 Temporary Fire Fighting System.

 Remote annunciation to the building security system and illuminate LED light on graphic annunciator for FM200 and Foam Fire Suppression System.

 Any type of Pneumatic/ Nitrogen Filled/ Pilot Cylinders for actuation of the FM200 Fire Suppression System.

 Interfacing and cabling works of FM200 and Foam Fire Suppression System to other third party equipment / Systems (HVAC, Dampers, BMS, SCADA, Discharge of FM200 Gas shall shut down power the equipment within the protected area, Closing of Supply return dampers and local AHU shall be shutdown wherever and whichever is applicable).

 Any other interfacing requirements other than the point highlighted in Inclusions and Considerations.

 Containment (Cable trays/ Trunking/MICC Cables) for Fire Alarm has not been considered part of

this offer.

 Incoming power cable, isolator / MCCB and ear thing for extinguishing panel, Fire alarm panel

and detection system for Clean Agent System.

 Earth / Electrical Continuity test for Pipe work within the Firefighting system equipment

 Water, Power/ Electricity at site required during testing and commissioning of the systems.

 Interface with existing DWC airport facility Edwards make fire alarm panel shall be excluded from our scope of works.

 Fire alarm panel having in build Amplifier module& fire telephone modules are not considered.

 Auto Dialer/ 24 X 7 Civil defense Panel.

 Interface with CCTV, Security, Access Control, Smoke management station since details is not

provided, as per system requirement if any additional modules is required to integrate fire alarm panel with other system will be extra cost applicable.

 Repeater or Annunciator Panel/MIMIC Panel.

 Duct Detector, Emergency & exit Light system (Self-contained or Central battery), Voice Evacuation System, Public address system, CO detector, Firefighting Telephone System.

 Networking & Graphic control station for VESDA

 Passive Fire Protection (Fire Proof Paint, Fire Doors, Fire Proof Sealant) and Earthling of Fire Fighting Pipes.

 Maintenance
